Netflix's The Witcher has now officially announced its Season 2, coming in 2021. Though we don't have the actual release date yet, a lot of information has already been released by the show's studios. If you love the new armor of Henry Cavill as the Witcher, you would probably love this new costume of Ciri too!

Meet the new Ciri on The Witcher Season 2

On Tuesday, Oct. 6, Netflix has not just released the Season 2 announcement nor The Witcher's new armor. The show has also currently unveiled the new look of Princess Cirilla or known as Ciri, played by Freya Allan.

The official photos, released by The Witcher's verified Twitter page, have matched the first photos we've seen on the Redanian Intelligence site's exclusives.

We've confirmed the grey shirt and trousers on the official pictures, and now Allan is also holding a weapon, confirming the first rumor that she is training at Kaer Morhen, Geralt's childhood home and witcher fortress.

The first image shows her in a rugged style, while the second picture shows her picking up a wooden training blade. Here's the official post from The Witcher page:

Aside from the pictures, the post was also captioned "She gave tearful goodbyes on a most violent night. Now this child of surprise is preparing to fight."

Based on the first rumor from Redanian Intelligence, Allan was seen filming scenes alongside an unidentified actor whose make-up and costume indicate an elven character. Unfortunately, we did not see that on the latest pictures shared by the show.

What fans thought

Of course, just like Henry Cavill's new armor, everyone also loves the new look given to Ciri's character.

Other unconfirmed spoilers you should know

Since we've seen the major glow-up of Henry on the show, we might have to get back on the recent The Witcher Season 2  rumors from the past.

On Feb. 20, Redanian Intelligence also exposed that the show's team flew outside London to film The Continent's fearsome Elven guerillas: the Scoia'tael.

It was revealed that the set will be introducing an important Elven character from the novels: Francesca Findabair.

Another spoiler was that Basil Eidenbenz will soon be playing the role of Eskel on the show--replacing Thue Ersted Rasmussen.

When will The Witcher Season 2 be released?

Netflix has not yet announced the official release date of The Witcher's Season 2, but here's the logline of the show.

"Convinced Yennefer's life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent's kings, elves, humans, and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside."
