Apple's iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are seen in an illustration released in Cupertino, California, U.S. October 13, 2020.

When Apple launched the latest iPhone 12 series, there were things that went missing which some fans would still like to use in the future: EarPods and lightning connector charger.

It was no longer a surprise that Apple continued its plan to remove EarPods or power adapter altogether, inside the box of an iPhone 12.

Apple's website, as explained, encourages customers to no longer use smartphone accessories such as power adapter and earphones, citing environmental benefits. If needed, Apple recommends to customers to use their old phone accessories, and not throw it out.

Before the company even mentioned this change on the launch, it was already a major turn-off for few Apple fans.

Now, a latest update says that if you buy your iPhone 12 in France, you will get a free EarPods and the iconic lightning connector inside the box.

Apple CEO Tim Cook poses with the all-new iPhone 12 Pro at Apple Park in Cupertino, California, U.S. in a photo released October 13, 2020.

As said, if you are living in France, you might be the luckiest owners of iPhone 12. This is the reason why.

According to Apple's regional French online store, every ‌iPhone‌ including the ‌iPhone‌ 12 will come with both a USB-C to Lightning cable and EarPods with a Lightning connector, as pointed out by MacRumors.

This means, France is the only country that will be experiencing this exemption due to a legislation requiring all smartphones to include a "handsfree kit" to protect children under 14 from the potential risk of electromagnetic radio wave.

It is written in the French law: "At the request of the purchaser of a mobile phone, the operator must provide an accessory such as a hands-free kit or headset suitable for children under 14 years of age."

All parties that will fail to follow this law, is required to spend at least $90,000 criminal fine. Which, of course, Apple is reluctant to do.

So far, rumors noted all iPhone 12 models will not include any EarPods or lightning connector, once purchased.
