Ninja's return to Twitch was one of the most iconic "Fortnite" streams of all time amassing 98,000 viewers. This iconic return was done a year after his initial leave and it seems like fans were more than happy to have him back.

Just recently, a new player in the game known as AOC or the known Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez decided to play and stream the popular video game known as "Among Us" along with other popular streamers like HasanAbi, Pokimane, Jacksepticeye, and some others.

AOC Playing 'Among Us' Live On Twitch

The stream was unexpectedly one of the most successful livestreams ever to take place on Twitch reaching a peak amount of 430,000 concurrent viewers! This is more than 4x that of professional gamer Ninja's return to Twitch at only 98,000, according to jordan @JordanUhl on Twitter.

What was the previous record and how close was AOC to beating this?

In order to understand the gravity of success that this livestream was able to rake in, according to Gamespot, it should be compared with the popular Ninja/Drake livestream of the popular game Fortnite back in 2018 that was able to reach over 600,000 concurrent views. This sets a brand new record for the fairly new streaming platform that time.

The unexpected livestream made by the Congresswoman AOC has definitely been a shocker to some Twitch viewers. Aside from playing alongside big names like HasanAbi, Pokimane, Jacksepticeye, and more, the main fact that a Congresswoman is playing is something unheard of.

'Among Us' was a game of choice for a reason

It's also understandable why they chose to play "Among Us" because not only is this game one of the most popular games out there as of the moment, it is also very easy to play and very easy to learn.

The game requires less in-game skills and more actual real-life deduction skills. The game is played by a group of players all trying to carry out tasks in a small spaceship but there's a catch. The team will include one or more impostors (depending on how many players) whose main task is to actually kill off the different players in the game.

Congresswoman AOC, although not a professional gamer, was able to amass more views than Ninja did during his return. Although not reaching the record at 600,000 views, it is still notable that she is not a professional gamer and has only done this once.

As of the moment, it is still unknown if the public will be seeing congresswoman AOC be playing again any time soon. Professional gamers, however, just like Ninja, are expected to be seen on Twitch every once in a while.
