The proliferation of online businesses in today's world means that new companies are bound to fail as much as they are bound to succeed. The number of new companies springing up, thanks to the internet, is staggering. Yet, many of these businesses fail to live past the first five years of their creation. Jeremy Arthur Morris says that the problem is a lack of passion, focus, and consistency from the entrepreneurs.

"I am not in any way playing down on any entrepreneur's hard work and diligence to seeing his/her business grow," Jeremy says. "But over time, with my experience as a young entrepreneur, I have noticed that many entrepreneurs are quick to throw in the towel when the going gets rough."

Jeremy Arthur is a young digital entrepreneur who has helped countless businesses - big and small - grow their business. The Westchester-born digital marketer, who doubles as a music manager, and investor opines that there is no need to get into any business if you are not passionate.

"Ideas will always come," Jeremy says, "but what makes your idea stand out is how well you are willing to stick it out when the going gets rough. Passion drives the most ordinary ideas to become world changers."

Many entrepreneurs are often frustrated by the hardship they face in the real world. Many of these new entrepreneurs are shocked when their plans don't come to fruition as fast as they had hoped.

The business world's stark reality smacks them hard on the face, and they are left dazed. The way out of all these, Jeremy says, is to keep pushing.

"I like Gary V's business philosophy. Gary's philosophy is that business is for the hard and determined. You can't succeed in business if you are not ready to fail. And I believe it strongly; Failure is a necessary prerequisite for success in life, and in business."

Many people have about digital marketing because it is easy and can be navigated with the swish of a magic wand. But that's far from the truth. The world of digital marketing - as well as any online business - is challenging and demanding. There are no rooms for inconsistency. Digital marketing requires hard work, hustle as Gary V calls it.

To make sales as a digital marketer, you need to be consistent all the time. There are no hard and fast rules for driving sales. Just like you'll put in the work with traditional sales, calling and following up on prospects, you do the same for digital marketing. And for music promotion. Any form of success requires these three core ingredients: passion, consistency, and focus.

"New toys, tools, gadgets, widgets and the likes, especially with digital marketing, can be sometimes tempting. You can be easily swayed by all these innovations, switching sides once every new tool pops up. But the rules and principles are always the same, they don't change much. If you have found and agreed on what you want to do, then you should roll your sleeves, get on your knees, and hustle. Hustle consistently, with a big picture you're aiming at."

The lure to try new things will sway people who aren't focused. And when your customers or would-be customers sense or see your inconsistency, they will change base as fast as the sun travels. People want to relate to a brand. And a brand is a focused and consistent business that delivers the quality it says it will always provide.
