The leak comes from Kopite7kimi, a well-known source, who tweeted about the specs of these Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 3050 Ti graphics cards. Both cards are said to be powered with GA106 Ampere GPU, which is cheaper and smaller than the GA102 used in the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 as well as in RTX 3070 Ti and even the GA104 used in the RTX 3070 and soon in RTX 3060 Ti.

Kopite7kimi also leaked details about the upcoming RTX 3080 Ti, which was enhanced along with RTX 3070 Ti after AMD's impressive RX 6000 Series reveal. This brand new hardware means Nvidia will have strong line-up of graphic cards to cover the mid and high-tier gaming market, although it is yet to be seen which cards will provide better performance than their AMD equivalents.

Reports show that the cards will also get 6 GB of GDDR6 memory, which could handle 1080p and 1440p gaming, although it may be limited for 4K. Also, compared to 5888 in the RTX 3070, RTX 3060 will get 3840 CUDA cores, the RTX 3050 Ti may have 3584.

Meanwhile, Nvidia may have to reduce or even stop the production of some cards to ensure the demands for the rest of the ranges are met after it massively struggled since the RTX 3000 Series were launched.

The RTX 3060 Ti is likely to cost below $399, but it is yet to be announced. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 3050 Ti still do not have official launch date.

Nvidia will probably look to have its mid-tier Ampere cards released as soon as possible. If AMD achieved constant performance increases with its own mid-tier cards: RX 6700, RX 6600 XT, and RX 6600.

However, Nvidia will be able to produce enough stock to satisfy market demand, something it has struggled massively with since launching the RTX 3000 Series. Nevertheless, the launch of these budget cards are likely to be delayed until 2021.

The CPU shown in the leaked tests is an AMD Ryzen 5 3500X, which can manage up to 16,755 points in the Graphics test. This means the said RTX 3070 Founders Edition from sites such as the Guru3D and HotHardware can respectively contain 13,622 and 12,864. The test confirms the Radeon RX 6800 could outperform the RTX 3070 by 23%.

Since it was not yet confirmed whether the GPU in the test is indeed an RX 6800, Tech Radar noted that the data results should be handled carefully. However, if proven, it would be a hard blow to NVIDIA, which is still facing issues with supply.
