PlayStation 5's 'Create' Button

One of the questions was about the "Create" button on the DualSense wireless controller that comes with the PS5 out of the box.

The Create button is basically an upgraded version of the "Share" button from PlayStation 4, which was already innovative when it came out, allowing players to share snapshots or video clips taken from your gameplay directly to your preferred platform.

According to GameSpot, the PS5 will automatically save the last 60 minutes of your gameplay at 1080p resolution and up to 60fps, and when you push the Create button on your DualSense controller, you can choose to save your recent gameplay.

Moreover, you can choose to save the full 60 minutes of gameplay that was recorded or choose a video clip as short as 15 seconds.

Creating New Gaming Content Made Easier

"In the Create menu, you can choose to save a portion of your past gameplay, start a manual recording, take a great screenshot, or broadcast gameplay," Sid Shuman, senior director of SIE Content Communications, wrote in the blog post.

Furthermore, players can also change some of the settings for the screenshot format, recording resolution, and voice chat audio without having to leave the game.

Manually recording your gameplay footage via PS5's Create button allows you to take 4K resolution.

To do that, open the Create Menu and choose the Manual Recording Resolution, where you can opt to record at 3840x2160.

However, you can only capture 4K gameplay footages when your console is connected to a 4K-capable monitor, and the setting you choose will stay until the console is connected to a non-4K screen.

You can check the screenshots and recorded gameplay footages on your PS5 through the console's Media Gallery, where you can view, share, edit, or copy the files onto a USB drive.

The files can also be played through USB-based media.

Sharing Your Files

If you want to share the files, you can share screenshots and short video clips of up to three minutes with your friends via Parties on PS5 or through the PlayStation App that's available on mobile devices.

There are also a few external services available on the next-gen console, including Twitter, YouTube, and Twitch, making it easier for gaming content creators to easily share their gameplay footages on these platforms or live stream their content.

The blog post, including every single FAQ about the console, has been published on PlayStation's blog, so be sure to check that out before you get your hands on the highly-anticipated console.

PlayStation 5 will be available in Northern America on November 12 with a suggested retail price of $499.99/CDN $629.99 for the PS5 console, and $399.99/CDN $499 for the PS5 Digital Edition console.

For those wondering, the PS5 console and the Digital Edition are practically the same, save for the inclusion of the Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive on the PS5 console.
