During a recent online event, Californian tech giant, Apple, unveiled the latest evolution in their line-up of mobile devices. Available October 23rd, the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max are expected to experience greater demand than had previously been anticipated. Given it has only been a little over a year since Apple's last handset launch, and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, analysts had expected lower-than-usual demand.

With the iPhone 12 mini starting from £699, iPhone 12 from £799, iPhone 12 Pro from £999, and iPhone 12 Pro Max from £1,099. You'll likely be asking what sets this device apart not only from the rest of the market but also from Apple's most recent releases.

In recent years, Apple has transformed the design of its flagship mobile device, starting with the iPhone 6, toward a 'sleeker' more rounded edge to the outer shell. Though this design received critical acclaim and fans paid attention, consumer preference is changing and with more Android devices Apple may want to separate themselves visually. The iPhone 12 features a completely refreshed look, returning to the boxy linear style of the iPhone 5.

The iPhone 12 is also 11% thinner, 15% smaller, and 16% lighter than its predecessor. The 6.1-inch screen (slightly larger for the Max) is a Super Retina XDR (sounds fancy, huh?) and has DOUBLE the number of pixels the iPhone 11 has. The screen also boasts a brighter display and ceramic coating. Performance is also improved substantially with Apple's A14 Bionic chipset, which boasts 40% more power than the A13. The iPhone 12's dual rear camera is 12MP, supports better Night Mode photography and captures photos with better colour and contrast.

As usual, the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max offer users an even further enhanced photography experience. The iPhone 12 Pro Max has photographers the world over excited with its longer zoom, bigger image sensor and greatly improved night mode.

Though there a whole host of improved features and a refreshed design, annoyingly, citing their environmental responsibility as a reason, Apple have for the first time decided to exclude charging bricks (plugs) and earphones from the iPhone 12, meaning first-time buyers will have to fork out more money for expensive Apple hardware. Those cynical amongst you may think this is a ploy to encourage users to purchase apple hardware at inflated prices.

Supercharging your iPhone 12

All of these upgrades are great, making our evermore connected lives faster, more efficient and the internet easier to navigate than ever. With that being said there is a downside, handset prices have been slowly rising in the recent years with the latest releases increasingly less affordable for the vast majority of people. To get around this the networks have introduced an ever-broader range of contract options and payment structures which offer users the option to essentially buy now and pay later.

This all seems great; you get a low monthly cost relative to the price of the handset while also securing the latest technology. But there are downsides to this that restrict the usability of your phone and can cost you money. The reason for this is that when you purchase a handset under this kind of arrangement it will almost always be locked to that network, meaning you cannot use any other SIM card in that device.

You can overcome these additional costs and lack of flexibility by following a simple Unlock iPhone 12 process online with iPhoneIMEI who has almost a decade of experience in unlocking mobile devices.

If you plan on travelling with your iPhone 12, unlocking your device will not only save you a ton of money on roaming charges, particularly those of you travelling outside Europe but will also make connecting abroad much easier. When your iPhone 12 is unlocked, all you need to do is find a local store, purchase a local SIM, insert it into your phone and you can use your phone as normal without hefty roaming charges.

If you have purchased an iPhone 12 and plan on paying off your device plan early to sell the device for any reason, you'll get 20-30% more in the second-hand market for an iPhone 12 that is unlocked. Not only that but you'll reach more potential buyers and sell your phone quicker.

Many modern contracts offer a device plan and a usage plan because customers are getting a relatively cheap monthly cost compared to the cost of the handset itself, they are often fooled into thinking their usage plan is a bargain too. News flash, they rarely are. Unlocking your device means you can access any number of great SIM-only deals from a host of competitive providers. This means that in the long-term you save a great deal of money on excessive usage charges.

So if you plan on scooping up an iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro you will want to make the most out of which device you choose by supercharging it and making it work for you. Unlocking your iPhone 12 is quick, easy and makes a ton of sense.
