"Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity" is now releasing to gamers of the Nintendo Switch, featuring the best of "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" that predates the game 100 years ago. Princess Zelda and Link rejoin the adventures to discover the history of their world during "the Great Calamity" that sets everything in place for "Breath of the Wild." Here's a roster list of all playable characters!

The Japanese technology and entertainment conglomerate, Nintendo, is now gearing up towards the initial release of "Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity" which features the prequel of the popular Zelda franchise. The game would feature several characters to play and utilize.

According to Nintendo, "Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity" offers a new perspective that will bring gamers right to the roots and history of the fictional realm of Hyrule, and how Zelda and others protect it. Calamity is upon the heroes and protagonists, and "Hyrule Warriors" narrate how it survives demise.

'Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity': Rosters of Lead Characters and Protagonists

Link

Link is the "main" character of the entire game as the title requires that the trusty Hylian would face off the canon missions of the plot. The game would open on "The Battle of Hyrule Field," immediately offering Link to gamers as the initial avatar in "Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity."

Weapons: Sword and Shield, Dual Blades, Spears

Impa

Impa would be joining Link in the game's opening plot in "The Battle of Hyrule Field" which will also unlock the character right off the bat. The character is a stealthy warrior that offers swift attacks and agile movement. Link and Impa would be the initial characters for quite some time.

Weapons: Giant Knife, Sword

Zelda

Princess Zelda will join the adventure on the "Guardian Amok" mission as another playable character that brings the party to three. This number is the party limit and would allow players to choose among the three. "Guardian Amok" is an extensive story that requires players to sub out characters from time-to-time.

Daruk

The Goron Hero, Daruk, hides in the northeast area of Eldin right at the Death Mountain. The journey towards Daruk would traverse a mountain and face of an Igneo Talus. Players also need to defend Daruk's home using the Vah Rudania divine beast.

Abilities: Shield, Magma Blast

Mipha

The Zora Princess is one of the four "Breath of the Wild" champions, which also joins the "Age of Calamity." Mipha can be unlocked by heading east to Lanaryu, particularly on Zora's Domain. Players would need to progress in the extensive level and ultimately control the Vah Ruta divine beast.

Abilities: Strong Attack Hits, Devastating Special Attack, Healing Attributes

Revali

The Rito Warrior is located in the northwest region of Hebra right at the Tabantha Frontier. Players need to defeat Rito Warriors and Revali himself to acquire the character.

Abilities: Sky Control, Aerial Attacks, Bow and Arrow

Urbosa

The Gerudo Chief is the next champion to unlock, which can be found on Gerudo Town in the map's southwest area. Urbosa will be available halfway on the journey, which will face-off against the Yiga Clan and Master Khoga as the boss.

Abilities: Lightning Strikes (Area of Effect), Charging Special Move

Remaining Characters

Great Fairies

Unlock "Offering Help on the Road" for 4,500 rupees to access "Trial of the Fairies" in Chapter Four. There are three clearing challenges before facing off with the Great Fairies in each. Finishing the three would unlock a fourth mega challenge, which requires numerous Wizzrobe Wands. Defeating the boss would grant all of the four bosses to join the party.

Hestu

Finish "Freeing Korok Forest" and meet-up with Hetsu to accomplish another mission. Completing all the missions with Hetsu would lead him to join the team.

Monk Maz Koshia

Chapter four opens three quests to accomplish, namely "Trial of Monsters," "Trial of Stones," and "Trial of the Mighty," all leading to the main quest of "Trial of the Ancients." The main boss is Monk Maz Koshia, which only requires to defeat him in under three and a half minutes. AOE attacks would deal significant damage against him.
