Microsoft will make Windows 10 more annoying! The tech giant company will now forcibly install Windows 10 updates on your computer.

The company will do this on devices running certain outdated versions of the operating system. Since the Windows 10 version 1903's service has now reached its end, Microsoft is left with no choice but to automatically update all the remaining users to version 1909.

Microsoft also plans to require all the users, who already have version 1909, to have Windows 10 2004 by spring 2021. According to TechRadar, the software company will send notifications to the affected users via the Windows Update settings panel.

How to install Windows 10 updates yourselves

As of the moment, Windows 10 updates are installed automatically. However, if you think you are lagging behind when it comes to your system version, you can manually install the updates via the Windows Update menu.

On the other hand, Windows 10 updates can also be downloaded using ISO images. However, you must remember that this method is a little more advanced. It is advisable not to use it if you're not familiar with your computer's settings.

Microsoft still delivers major new editions of the OS, minor security fixes, and other improvements on a biannual basis, although the company is already releasing regular Windows 10 updates.

As of the moment, the latest Windows 10 feature update is called Windows 10 20H2. It was rolled out in October, which introduced more robust Alt + Tab functionality, wider improvements to the user interface, and a new theme-aware Start menu.

Turning off Windows 10 updates

Although this method doesn't guarantee you that Windows 10 updates won't happen on your PC or laptop, it is still worth to try. Windows Central explained that you can turn off automatic updates via your computer's settings.

You can do this by going to your "Settings" section and clicking the "Update and Security" option. Once you are there, you need to choose Windows Update. Click the "Advanced options" option and locate the "Check For Updates" button. Below that option, you'll find the "Pauws updates" section. Just click the "Drop-down" button to select how long you want to disable the updates. After finishing this process, Windows 10 updates won't bother you anymore.
