The "Genshin Impact's" special event called The Chalk Prince and the Dragon has already started on Dec. 23 11 a.m. (Server Time) after the game recently updated to Version 1.2. The event will run until Jan. 4, 2021 at 3:59:59 (Server Time).

'Genshin Impact' The Chalk Prince Act 3: How to Unlock
According to Game 8, to unlock "Genshin Impact" The Chalk Prince Act 3 of the event, players must reach the Adventure Rank 20 and clear the Chalk Prince Event Act 1. They also need to complete the quest on Act 2, but not necessarily clear all tasks.
In a YouTube video shared by Sekapoko, he outlined how the goals for Act 3. Sekapoko said players would reach Level 3 of Refine Pestering and claim a total of 600 warm essences or up to 1800 in total just like in Act 2. They also need to complete the Draconic Pilgrimage for 16 times as well as complete the pilgrimage five times without amassing more than 20 Sheer Cold. This means players have to stay warm during the event.
The Chalk Prince Act 3 Event Tasks
Following are the event tasks included in Act 3. You will get 30 Primogem and 20,000 Mora after completing each task. This means you will accumulate a total of 180 Primogem and 120,000 Mora at the end of the quest.
- Accumulate a total of 600 Warm Essence
- Accumulate a total of 1,800 Warm Essence
- Complete the Dragonic Pilgrimage challenge for 8 times
- Refine Festering Desire to level 3
- Complete the Dragonic Pilgrimage challenge for 16 times
- Complete the Dragonic Pilgrimage challenge for 5 times without amassing over 20% Sheer Cold

Raiders Amidst Snow Quest walkthrough
In the Act 3 of the Chalk Prince and the Dragon event, you will need to complete a story quest in Dragonspine, Mondstadt. Check out the walkthrough below:
- Meet Albedo at the entrance of Dragonspine
- Travel up the mountain. You may teleport to the nearby waypoint to reach the destination faster.
- Defeat the four Hilichurls that will attack you
- Talk to Albedo
- Chase the footprints and defeat another tree hilichurls
- Destroy the Anemo Amber and to activate the Wind Current
- Catch up with the hilichurl using the wind current
- Activate the device then boot out the hilichurls
- Defeat another 7 enemies and get the sketchbook
- Go back to the campsite and search for Albedo
For this quest, it is recommended to bring a Pyro character while exploring Dragonspine since you will encounter enemies with Cryo element. Also, you may choose to use Festering Desire during any battle, so you do not need to bring out your Sword characters. Once the quest is completed, you will be rewarded with 30,000 Mora, 3 Hero's Wit, and 60 Primogem.
Warm Essence Event Shop
With all the rewards you received throughout the quest, you may head to the Warm Essense event shop to avail of these in-game stuff.
- Festering Dragon Marrow: 600 Warm Essence (Limit: 1)
- Hero's Wit: 20 Warm Essence (Limit: 20)
- Adventurer's Experience: 5 Warm Essence (Limit: 20)
- Mystic Enhancement Ore: 10 Warm Essence (Limit: 120)
- 10,000 Mora: 20 Warm Essence (Limit: 30)
