'Final Fantasy 14' Sidequests: How to Get the Rewards in Lali-Ho, Like Cats and Dogs, and More

"Final Fantasy 14" is not short with sidequests. They allow you to dive deeper into adventures that are found in Eorzea. Sidequests are taken to open up trials, raids, new dungeons, instanced areas, aether currents and more. It also offers some of the best humor, narration and rewards.

Here are some of the best sidequests in the game and how you can retrieve its rewards:

Learning to Lali-Ho

Players can begin the quest in Kholusia. It is one of the areas that are added in the most recent expansion, Shadowbringers.

You will need to talk to Ronitt at X:11.1, Y:11.8 to start the quest and it is also very easy to complete. You will need to run around a bit, but you will be guided to talk to specific NPCs at certain areas before you are given the reward, which is the Lai-ho emote.

Like Cats And Dogs

The quest "Like Cats and Dogs" may not give rewards, but it opens up two different quests that will each give you an amazing minion. Talk to Skribyld in Western La Noscea at X:26.4, Y:26.4 to start the quest and follow through on talking to different NPCs to complete it.

Skribyld will then offer two new quests "Man's Best Friend" and "Curiosity Killed the Coeurl". The first will rewards you with the Wolf Pup minion and you need to trade the pup a bone and soothe it before talking to Skribyld to complete the quest. The second rewards you with Coeurl Kitten and you can complete it by looking for a baby coeurl in Skull Valley, then report it to Skribyld.

Ant Juice

The Head Bandage item is perfect for those who want to use the Nier items. Because of its popularity, it is easy to get. You will need to complete the "Ant Juice" quest given by Ranulf in Rhalgr's Reach at X:12.8, Y:10.7.

Ranulf will provide you with some type of powder and will ask you to scatter them to a certain area, which will spawn a monster. The said monster can be easily defeated. Return to Ranulf to get your reward.

Protectors Of The Wood

This sidequest rewards players with the Great Serpent of Ronka minion. The serpent has become so popular with fans of the game that there is now more than one minion variant of him.

To get the original, talk to Phyna in The Rak'tika Greatwood at X:30.8, Y:20.3 to start the quest. You will be asked to run around and to talk to various NPCs before heading out to track down three stone tablets. Your map will guide you to the locations that are required, after which you must talk to Quinfort before handing the tablets to Lanille to get your minion.

Scholasticate Quest Chain

The "Scholasticate Quest Chain" has some rewards that you can get like Spectacles emote, the Inspector's Eyeglasses item and the Scholasticate Quest Chain. The last one is earned from the last two quests that you go through in the chain. These items, especially the Inspector's Eyeglasses, is very popular.
