A Samsung and Apple smartphone are displayed on August 6, 2014 in London, England. Smartphone and tablet manufacturers Samsung and Apple have agreed to end all legal cases over patent infringements outside of the US.

These devices also have tiny bezels. If your device is an iPhone, your device will have a cutout bezel, which is located at the top that contains all of the Face ID components.
On the other hand, if you have an Android phone, your smartphone will have no notch.

Although this is the case, the Android phone still has a hole at the top that houses one or two cameras.

Both of these designs could not provide the perfect all-screen as of the moment. However, Samsung discovered a new way to achieve innovation.

Samsung under-display camera technology

As of the moment, Samsung is working on its under-display camera innovation. This would allow the developers to place the front camera literally under the device's screen.
However, there's one issue that could take place.

The new technique could comprise the photo quality of your device. This is also the main reason why many companies are not adapting to this new technology.

However, Samsung is considered one of the companies to use the method on its upcoming smartphones. Apple's competitor also found a way to solve this issue. It has developed a slide-up OLED panel that would cover the selfie camera when not in use. As of the moment, there is no confirmation yet if the upcoming Galaxy S21 will have the new under-display camera.

iPhone 12 vs. Samsung Galaxy S series' display

Right now, Apple hasn't integrated the new under-display camera technology into its iPhone products. According to Business Insider's latest report, iPhone 12 series doesn't have an all-screen display.

However, Apple made improvements to the new flagships' screens. These include OLED screens which improve the devices' durability, thanks to a new ceramic shield coating.

On the other hand, Android Police reported that the latest Samsung Galaxy S series has FullHD+ Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED displays. Both of the upcoming S21 and the S21+ will feature a 120Hz refresh rate. They will also be protected with Gorilla Glass Victus. The tech giant manufacturer hasn't released any information if the new devices will feature its new under-display camera innovation.
