The game publisher also provides great features that can improve your gaming experience. One of these is its built-in FPS counter display for PC games.

This will allow you to identify if your monitor is functioning the way it should be. It could also help you know if the gaming monitor is running into some issues.

It can do this by displaying your device's frames per second (FPS) during your playtime. What's great about this feature is that you can easily activate it. To help you further, here's how you can activate Steam's built-in FPS counter display.

How to activate Steam's built-in FPS display

The first thing you need to do is to click Steam and then go to the Settings option. Once you are there in the Settings option, you'll see a window.

Once it appears, you need to choose the "In-Game" option, which is located in the left sidebar. Click the "In-Game FPS Counter" box and choose your preferred location.

You need to remember that the feature will be turned off by default and it won't also be displayed. The feature also allows you to choose if you want to display it at the screen's bottom-left, bottom-right, or top-left.

This means that you can place it anywhere on the screen. How To Geek's latest report, explained that the feature is gray by default. This allows the display to blend in with many games.

If you want to make it easier to read, all you need to do is check the "High contrast color" option. This will make the  FPS counter will have its numbers displayed in bright neon green, allowing it to stand out even more.
