With so many areas of modern life requiring identity verification, online security remains a constant concern, especially following the recent spate of global hacks.

Google released its new tool for Mac, Linux, and Windows devices. The company did this to add some personal security features that will help the users protect their emails and other online accounts.

According to Yahoo Finance's latest report, the new Chrome 88 is a built-in password manager that provides the users some extra password options. However, the users are not required to use the tool.

Although this is the case, it is still better than using the same password in most of your accounts.

Chrome 88 offers one convenient section

Google's new tool also provides users with a single convenient place, which they can use to update all their Chrome-managed passwords.

"You may want to update multiple usernames and passwords easily, in one convenient place," explained Google via Yahoo Finance.

"That's why starting in Chrome 88, you can manage all of your passwords even faster and easier in Chrome Settings," added the software giant.

Right now, the new Chrome 88 should be available on iOS and desktop devices. Google also confirmed that it will soon release its new built-in password manager on Android devices.

Aside from these, Chrome 88 also offers new smaller features. These include black scroll bars that appear when the users' Windows 10, Chrome-built pages, such as History and Bookmarks, are in dark mode.

On the other hand, FTP support was also completely removed, including the hidden Flag setting. As of the moment, Google is also working on its light and dark themes on Chromebooks.

Activating Chrome 88

According to Gadgets 360's latest report, the first thing you need to do is click your profile image and then tap the key icon. If you want to quickly access the new Chrome 88, all you need to do is type this code in the address search bar;

(chrome://settings/passwords)

Once you are there, you need to choose the Check Password option. After that, Google Chrome will search for your very weak passwords. Once the users identify the compromised and weak passwords, they can now easily change them on their accounts.
