Even Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates was shocked by a lot of "crazy and "evil" pandemic conspiracy theories about him on social media.

Bill Gates is Surprised with the News

Rumors know no boundaries when it comes to people, especially when the news began flooding amidst the pandemic scare. In an interview with Reuters, the 65-year-old philanthropist told that the surge of social media posts about the pandemic involving him has stormed the people in the online disturbance.

It might be a bolt in the blue for Gates to be a subject of the rumor, as well as Dr. Anthony Fauci, the chief medical advisor to the president. Still, he hopes that the issue will now go astray.

"Nobody would have predicted that I and Dr. Fauci would be so prominent in these really evil theories," Gates said.

When the news about the novel coronavirus erupted in China in January 2020, the pandemic has been closely watched by the nations. With the internet that is now at our fingertips, one-click could spell a truth - or misinformation regarding the origin of the COVID-19 which already claimed more than 2 million lives worldwide.

The rumors said that Gates and Fauci connived to take over the business of controlling people during the pandemic. This means that they have been earning money from COVID-19 by inserting detectable microchips to the people who got vaccinated. However, Gates cringed to the make-shift idea and questioned its impact on the behavior of the people who are likely siding on the theory.

Regardless of the pandemic conspiracies, Gates has already pledged at least $1.75 billion for the COVID-19 pandemic, which helped for the vaccine development, treatments, and other medical responses. The American magnate has been thankful that he felt great after receiving his first COVID-19 vaccine, CNET reported.

More Conspiracy Theories to Come

According to New York Times and Zignal Labs, the pandemic conspiracy theories involving Gates were uttered 1.2 million times on social media and television. The count was intended for the duration of February to April last year.

The theories were linked with Gates' throwback speech in 2015, where he forewarned the public about the risk of a contagious disease that could wipe humanity in the upcoming years.

The conspiracies have even reached TikTok, a Chinese video site, as per First Draft News.

Besides, his alleged connection to Fauci, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation was believed to carry out vaccinations in India and Africa, leading to thousands of children's deaths. Gates was also rumored to have brought tetanus vaccine and abortion drugs in Kenya.

There was also a video involving Gates to the Chinese communist group with an aim of eradicating humanity through abortion and botched vaccination. However, the anti-disinformation team of BBC reported that the rumors were all false.

Meanwhile, China claimed that the United States was in charge of spreading COVID-19. According to the claims, the US has been operating in clandestine laboratories which China state media said are the breeding grounds of the vaccine that is made to kill the elders.
