In 2020, Samsung released Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7 Plus, and people are now anticipating the release of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8.

Even though it has not been announced yet, SamMobile reported that Samsung might have leaked the existence of the Galaxy Tab S8, so the device may be on its way to the market.

Though the release is not likely to be imminent, there are already numerous rumors that are circulating. The upgrades for the Galaxy Tab S8 will include a faster Snapdragon 888 chip, and it may possibly have software upgrades for better multitasking.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 release date

If the previous releases are any indication, then the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 should be set for the mid-2021 release. The Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S6 were released in August 2020, so fans of the product believe that the Galaxy Tab S8 to break cover around August 2020.

When the tablet is launched is not clear as Samsung has not released any specific date, and it has not been very consistent with its announcement when it comes to its products.

Based on past releases, it is possible it will be launched in the summer of this year, around July or early August, GSMarena stated.

Aside from the release date, Samsung has not released anything about the Galaxy Tab S8 price, but there is also some speculation about how much it might cost.

The Galaxy Tab S7 started at $649.99, while the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus is more expensive as it started at $849.99, so fans of the product are expecting that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 will cost around the same price range.

According to Tom's Guide, the trend for the Tab range has been for a price increase with each Samsung Galaxy Tab generation, so it will not come as a surprise if the new tab costs more than its predecessor.

YouTube channel, The Galox, had leaked the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8. According to TechRadar, experts suggest taking a skeptical approach to this information, as it is most not guaranteed.

If these rumors about the tab are to be believed, it appears the Galaxy Tab S8 will be powered by Snapdragon 888 chipset and offer 8GB RAM in the standard model and 12GB RAM in the Plus variant.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 Plus powered the Galaxy Tab S7, and the new Snapdragon 888 offers a better upgrade and should boost the power of the new Galaxy Tab S8. The storage options are rumored to range from 128GB to 256GB to a substantial 512GB.

According to Samsung, spotted by SamMobile, the Galaxy Tab S8 will feature a microSD card slot supporting cards up to 1TB. The Galaxy Tab S8 will feature a nano-SIM card slot, and it will support 5G connectivity.
