The next season of "Pokemon GO" will be starting soon, and here are everything trainers need to know, including new spawns to watch out for, new Legendary and Mega raids, new eggs to be hatched, and Special Research tasks, among others.

'Pokemon GO' Season of Legends Start Date

For those who haven't opened the app in a long time or are just planning to get started, Niantic Labs, the people behind the hit "Pokemon" augmented reality (AR) mobile game, has decided to create a regular "season" based model late last year, starting with the Season of Celebrations, which has led up to the final activity: the Kanto World Tour that is happening right now.

With the first season's success, Niantic has officially announced via their website the next season, which will be called Season of Legends and will last for three months.

As per the official website, the "Pokemon GO" Season of Legends will start on Mar. 1 at 8:00 A.M. until June 1 at 10:00 A.M. local time.

Throughout its duration, various events and activities will be held in-game, which could differ from week to week, including themed Community Days, Spotlight Hours, and more.

New Legendary Pokemon Debut

Nevertheless, many trainers are perhaps more excited to know which monsters would appear and get featured this season to complete their Pokedex, especially as the developers have confirmed that a new Pokemon will make its debut when the season launches.

There are three Legendary Pokemon that will make their "Pokemon GO" debuts, namely, Therian Forme Thundurus, Therian Forme Tornadus, and Therian Forme Landorus, which will most likely be featured in five-star tier Legendary Boss Raids.

"Pokemon GO" fans can also expect Professor Willow to come up with Special Research Tasks that will somehow be related to the new Legendary Pokemon, so it's possible trainers can get them from these tasks, too, but Niantic has not provided further details so we'll have to wait and see.

However, Niantic has teased the possibility of more Legendary Pokemon making their way into the mobile game.

Mega Raids will see more Mega Evolved versions of monsters we know and love well too.

Exclusive Spawns and Egg Hatches

Moreover, the devs have promised that Pokemon that will spawn in the wild appear closely to habitats where they would be normally found in the franchise, meaning if a trainer is in the city, they would encounter Voltorb or Glameow more, while those near bodies of water would typically encounter Water-type Pokemon, and so on, as per VG247.

There will also be exclusive spawns based on your hemispheres.

For example, Chimchar, Combee, Dratini, Scyther, and Spring Deerling have been confirmed to appear exclusively in the northern hemisphere, while Oshawott, Mankey, Bagon, Woobat, and Autumn Deerling will be appearing in the southern hemisphere.

Pokemon hatching from eggs have also been updated, with monsters like Treecko, Budew, Mudkip, and more hatching from 2km eggs; Munna, Drowzee, Azurill, and more from 5km eggs; and Alomomola, Nincada and more from 10km eggs.

Niantic has promised all-new events that will be coming, and more content for "Pokemon GO" trainers once Season of Legends starts.
