A week from now, CBS All Access will be rebranded as Paramount Plus, a new streaming service that combines several networks in one streaming platform with thousands of movies and series.

CBS All Access Gets Better With Paramount Plus

The Verge reports that Paramount Plus is a combined franchise and assets from Viacom and CBS. The two companies remerged in 2019 to offer 20,000 episodes of television and movies from numerous networks such as BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, and Paramount Pictures.

Paramount Plus' services will launch at two separate pricing tiers. The first one is an ad-supported version that includes a full lineup of Paramount films and Paramount Plus originals for only $4.99.

On the other hand, Paramount Plus' second tier will have a sport supplemented with even more options, CBS news feeds, and a live CBS TV experience for $9.99

Tom Ryan, CEO of the streaming platform, says that Paramount Plus will have a massive library of series created for viewers to enjoy and binge-watch. Ryan continued that the company is working to have more options for subscribers in the coming months.

According to Cnet, the base tier of Paramount Plus includes ads during the show, and movies users are watching on-demand, and it will limit how much programming they can view.

For example, a base tier subscriber will be able to watch NFL games but would not be able to see all of the streaming platform's live sports. The base tier will have all Paramount Plus originals, but viewers cannot access every title in the catalog.

This news was announced during an investor event that was expected to unveil the magnitude of capabilities from Paramount Plus and clarify what potential subscribers can expect from the rebranded streaming platform, including cost and the roster of shows that ViacomCBS hopes to draw in new subscribers.

Paramount Plus also hopes that its particular lineup of TV series, films, and originals will grab many subscribers to binge-watch during this pandemic and the vision for TV's future.

However, the new streaming service can add a state of confusion for people on which streaming platform they can subscribe to.

Paramount Plus' new pricing compares to Netfilx's cheapest tier at $9 a month and its most popular plan is $14. Apple TV Plus is $5 a month, Disney Plus is $7 a month, and HBO Max is $15. All those services are ad-free.

Paramount Plus TV Series, Movies, and Originals Roster

Paramount Plus will carry out numerous older popular TV shows and upcoming shows based on existing content as well as new originals based around past popular franchises.

TV shows such as "Spongebob Squarepants" will be available, "Criminal Minds," "The Godfather," a "Grease" prequel about the "Pink Ladies," a reimagined "Love Story" Polygon reports.

Some of the original series include a new "Frasier" revival with Kelsey Grammer set to reprise his role as Dr. Frasier Crane, a film based on the world of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and "The Legend of Korra." Paramount Plus is also making a live-action "Dora the Explorer" series and a live-action "Fairly OddParents" show.
