CES, the world's largest annual consumer technology trade show, runs through January 8 and features 3,800 exhibitors showing off their latest products and services to more than 165,000 attendees.

Smartwatches are an innovation for the modern era of technology and are still a very new thing for many people. It requires a getting-used-to phase and offers more functionality than telling the time. Some people do not need a smartwatch to get through the day--consider the fact that some of the best smartwatches are too expensive for the general public to purchase.

However, if you are one of the people who have an active lifestyle, a go-getter, and want to get in shape, then here are some good-quality smartwatches to start your day.

Apple Watch Series 6 Features, Specs, and Price

The Apple Watch Series 6 is the best smartwatch you can buy to pair up to your iPhone. It has unmatched first and third-party application support, receives regular software updates, and has tight integration with Apple's messaging applications.

The Apple Watch Series 6 features the S6 SiP that Apple says is 20 percent faster than the prior generation, with three new color choices (Silver, Graphite, and Gold). The watch also has the latest blood oxygenation measurement, a non-removable wireless fast charging (one and a half hour full battery), the U1 chip, and supported with Apple's watchOS 7.0 that can be upgradable up to 7.3. The smartwatch is also Wi-Fi supported.

The Apple Watch Series 6 has a brighter display thanks to its Retina LTPO OLED with 448 x 368 resolution and Sapphire Crystal Glass protection. The smartwatch has an always-on altimeter display and has a 50m water-resistant feature, as reported by GSMArena.

However, there are some disadvantages to purchasing the Apple Watch Series 6. The cons include the new sleep tracking metrics being too basic (a third-party app available to download solely for the sleep tracker is needed). This battery life comprises a Li-Ion 303.8 mAh battery and takes only 18 hours of use per day, needs improvement, and lacks third-party watch faces.

The Apple Watch Series 6 is priced at $399 for the GPS model and $499 for the GPS + Cellular model.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Specs, Features, and Pricing

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is the ultimate choice for people who are using a smartphone. The hardware is top-notch, the rotating bezel is useful and intuitive, battery life is good, and it has plenty of fitness and health-tracking features such as a Blood pressure monitor, a Li-Ion 340mAh Qi wireless charging.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 features a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED with 360 x 360 resolution always-on display. Corning Gorilla Glass DX protects the watch with a stainless steel titanium frame.

However, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 GPS and heart rate feature can sometimes type in wrong information, and those coming from a Wear OS and Apple Watch, will likely find the lack of third-party apps to be a letdown.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is priced for $249 on Amazon this weekend for the 41mm model and $279 price point for the 45mm watch, as TechRadar reports.
