The next beta update for the M1 Macs and macOS 11 Big Sur version 11.3 would reportedly remove the Rosetta 2 application feature that can run the old Intel-Mac software for the new silicon chip of the company. Since Apple's M1 chips are fairly new, several third-party developers for Apple have not yet adjusted to the new system and cannot debut a new app version yet.

For this reason alone, Apple has allowed a function that would allow a seemingly "time travel" that runs old applications that are meant for the Intel-based Macs to run on the new M1 Silicon chip of the company. Since both use the same interface as Mac computers and the macOS, it would be easier to deal with and run, only tweaking several codes to make it work for the new interface.

It has been almost five months since the release of the Big Sur and the M1 Macs to the world, and there are still massive development backlogs for software to run natively on the ARM-based chip without the need for third-party software. The "reader" or "runner" for the Intel-based applications on the M1 has been heavily relied on, to use software from different companies.

According to a discovery of Steve Moser from Mac Rumors, Apple is releasing another version of the macOS 11.3 Big Sur beta that would update the second version for the company and its current users. The beta is now available for developers to download and experience, then provide feedback to Apple to change what is needed.

The developer's beta is also intended for these companies to match their applications on the latest update for the Mac, and release an update for these as well, to work well with the operating system version. In the beta code that was released by Apple, Steve Moser found something that details Rosetta's soon-to-be gone availability on the PC.

Apple's computer language was all pointing and saying that "Rosetta will no longer run on this region" which highly suggests that it is not an entire removal of the Rosetta, but it would be for some regions. The beta code did not show which regions are facing the Rosetta removal from Apple, but it would surely be affecting many places as expected.

According to Mac Rumors, Rosetta may be removed from the beta version of macOS 11.3 because of legal reasons of the different regions that are allowed to use the previous version and run Intel x86 applications. The report did not say exactly which laws were breached or in near violation, but it seems that the Rosetta removal is already solidified.

The new version of the macOS 11.3 beta is adding several nifty features for the Macs, which would observe keyboard layout and mapping, primarily focused on optimizing gaming experience in the computer. Gaming on macOS might soon happen with the beta update, and developers may be working with Apple for a version for the macOS.
