A Playable Baizhu in 'Genshin Impact'

Baizhu is already in "Genshin Impact" as an NPC, but fans have speculated that the character will be playable in the future. Baizhu's design is pretty unique, so it seems the miHoYo might add him to the roster at some point.

HITC reports that there is no official announcement that Baizhu will become a playable character in "Genshin Impact." But the character is already in the game as an NPC with Rosaria, and both are expected to become controllable heroes thanks to their elaborate designs and datamines. While there are leaked skills for Rosaria, a full overview is yet to be unveiled for Baizhu.

 "Genshin Impact" dataminer suggest that Baizhu's release could be coming soon as one player posted on Twitter about the green-haired pharmacist's being a Catalyst user and a full-body model of the character. In the leak, Baizhu is believed to be a five-star Catalyst, and the same source suggests that Shenhe might come after him and be an antagonist for Baizhu.

Gamerant previously stated that Baizhu is one of the confirmed characters to varying degrees by photos and videos for "Genshin Impact"s closed Beta test. Xiao, Ayaka, Hu Tao, and Baizhu are reportedly set to be five-star characters. However, this list still leaves the game with a relative lack of Anemo, Hydro, and especially Dendro users.

Possible Release Date for Baizhu in 'Genshin Impact'

Current rumors suggest that the Baizhu banner release date for "Genshin Impact" could land during the 1.5 update. The speculation also stated that the character is listed for an April/May release date. However, that would suggest a 1.4 update rather than a 1.5.

'Genshin Impact 1.4 Update

"Genshin Impact" version 1.4 is just around the corner, with miHoYo recently adding new characters to the game with Hu Tao and Xiao. The upcoming update will introduce the NPC, Rosaria, as a playable character. She was previously seen as a supporting character during the Dragonspine Quest introduced in version 1.2, as ScreenRant reports.

The "Genshin Impact" version 1.4 will introduce familiar faces into the game with over eight characters already confirmed. They are not even close to representing all of the game's weapon type and element combinations to make a damage synergy.

The "Genshin Impact" world will be expanded with the game adding new regions such as Sumeru, Inazuma, Natlan, and Snezhnaya, just to name a few, so players can undoubtedly expect the least some of these regions to be introduced in the game.
