UPDATE: Famous graphic designer Beeple has now responded to Elon Musk's post, saying he would buy the music for $69 million. But, billionaire replied it with a counter-offer of 420 million Dogecoin cryptocurrency.

Elon Musk has put out his spinner and audio editor as he debuted his first produced electronic dance music (EDM, a.k.a club music) that is an NFT which he sells "as an NFT" via his official Twitter account. An NFT is also known as a "non-fungible token" which means it cannot be sold, rather be traded, and Elon Musk is looking for takers with the right product to exchange.

However, there's another controversy behind it.

The popular multi-company CEO to SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk, has produced a music track that appears to be nameless, as an NFT to trade for something of the same value on his official Twitter account. There was nothing more that was divulged by the CEO after posting the tweet and has not let his fans know his plans on selling the token.

Elon Musk is known for his bizarre ideas and cryptic tweets, but creating a song about NFT is a new one for him, particularly as it largely represents or relates to his fondness towards online and digital currencies. Previously, Musk expressed his fondness over Bitcoin and the meme cryptocurrency, Dogecoin which earned him a probe from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Elon Musk Sells 'NFT Song' as an NFT

In a recent tweet by the popular CEO via his personal and verified Twitter account (@elonmusk), he revealed a new record that he produced and created, showcasing his skills as a music producer. Here, he shows a trophy-like object that is rotating on its own, while the music that Musk produced is playing in the background.

Visual-wise, there are various elements on Elon Musk's song, and it includes at the very top, a sign that says "NFT", and a golden round orb with a "Vanity Trophy" spiraling around it. Below, Dogecoins and Bitcoins are spinning at the platform, along with the word "HODL" or "hold on for dear life," and lastly, the word "computer." As of 4 PM PST (two hours after initial posting), the song already has 2.9 million views from Twitter alone, which the record was exclusively posted by the CEO. Basing on the comments section, there are no interested takers or parties to trade the song with, especially as it was not yet revealed to have a platform or website to trade it in.

Elon Musk stolen song?

As the NFT song started to get audiences on Twitter, several famous DJs claim that the song was originally theirs in the first place.

So far, the billionaire hasn't made comments about this.

What is an NFT?

An NFT is a "Non-Fungible Token" that bases itself on the word "Fungible" which means that it could be replaced or has value in the world of commerce. However, an NFT is non-fungible, meaning that its value cannot be replaced or bought by money, rather a product of the same caliber or tier, such as another "NFT" that is deemed worthy by Elon Musk.

There are still no revelations from the multi-company CEO about the platform on which he would sell his NFT Song, and how it would be sold. One thing is for sure, and that is Elon Musk trying on the designation as an NFT, getting on its rising trend and popularity which is growing, right beside cryptocurrencies in this digital world.
