According to CNBC News' latest report, the new feature called Feed Filter Bar allows users to toggle between viewing algorithmically ranked content. This includes the most recent updates and posts, which are shared and posted by the pages and favorite friends they follow.

The Independent UK also reported that the new feature allows users to choose 30 FB friends and pages that will be shown on the top part of the feed compared to other content posted and shared by various sources.

Users can click this to see why a post from your friend, a page you follow, and a group is appearing on your News Feed section. The content's details will be provided to give you more insights.

"A post may be suggested for you if other people who interacted with the post also previously interacted with the same group, Page, or post as you," said Facebook.

"If you've recently engaged with a certain topic," or based on the user's location," added the company.

The new feature and other changes on Facebook's platform are comparable to those currently available on Twitter. On the other hand, Twitter previously introduced its feature, which allows users to choose who can reply to their tweets, in May 2020.
