Lenovo Legion 2 Pro: The First Smartphone With Dual Twin-Turbo Cooling System

On Mar. 25, MyFixIt first reported the touted new feature revealed on Lenovo Legion Mobile's official Weibo account, adding that users would have an epic gaming experience.

The General Manager for Lenovo China also confirmed the latest feature while revealing that the Legion 2 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm's latest flagship chipset, "Snapdragon 888."

The octa-core chipset uses Adreno 660 GPU and 1x Cortex-X1 Super Core that was clocked at 2.84 Ghz, bringing the Snapdragon 888's performance to another level.

Lenovo Legion 2 Pro: Specs and Release Date

Lenovo had been teasing the specs for the upcoming Legion 2 Pro in a series of Weibo posts, which GSM Arena unofficially listed in an undated post.

According to the list, the Legion 2 Pro will feature a 6.92-inch Full-HD+ custom Samsung gaming screen with a 2460x1080p resolution display that features a 144Hz refresh rate.

The screen will also support a 720Hz multi-finger sampling rate and 3.8 milliseconds fast response.

The Legion 2 Pro will also feature a 44MP front camera, making it the smartphone to have the highest front-facing pixels to date. The 64MP main camera will come with OmniVision OV64A-the latest flagship 1/1.32-inch sensor.

With the OmniVision OV64A, the main camera's pixel size is at 1μm and will support up to 4K 120fps and 8K 30fps video shooting.

This means that the Lenovo Legion 2 Pro can provide excellent low-light performance with wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lenses.

As teased in the leaked images, the front camera will adopt a pop-up design much like its predecessor, the Lenovo Legion.

All this muscle promised by the Legion 2 Pro will be powered by a 5500mAh battery with a 90W super flash charging.

As the successor to the Lenovo Legion, the Lenovo Legion 2 Pro is sticking to the horizontal orientation, with a USB-C port near the volume rocker on the side.

It is also speculated that the storage for the Legion 2 Pro will arrive in multiple variants, such as the 12 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 16 GB RAM and 512 GB of storage.

The arrival of the Lenovo Legion 2 Pro is officially scheduled on Apr. 8.
