COVID-19 vaccines are still limited in other states and areas in the country, but this problem can be solved as teens from California created the Twitter bot called "CovaxSF" to secure one via social media. The technology was created to help these teenagers' parents to get an appointment but has evolved into something that can help others too.

A member of staff poses with a phial of Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine at a vaccination health centre on the first day of the largest immunisation programme in the UK's history on December 8, 2020 in Cardiff, United Kingdom. Wales joined the other UK nations in rolling out the covid-19 vaccine on Tuesday, a rare moment of coordination after months of disjointedness in the four nations' pandemic response.

Initially, it was only the next-generation consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S and X that were available via a Twitter and Discord bot that looks for stocks and helps a person secure a unit for purchase and gaming. The arrival of COVID-19 vaccines late last year has pushed the tech to shift to look for the immunization's availability as it remains limited to the public.

However, it would not be that much of a problem as a virtual bot via Twitter can secure a vaccine appointment for everyone who needs it, and it is thanks to teenagers that have made it for their parents to secure one. Alternatively, there is a company that does the same feature that scans web pages to look for any stock changes, and that is via the VisualPing platform.

CovaxSF COVID-19 Vaccine Twitter Bot

According to CNet, Teenagers Sam Mendelson and Daniel Stoiber created the Twitter bot to help their parents secure a COVID-19 vaccine appointment which was still hard to come by in the state of California. After securing one, the teenagers have shared their resources and technology with the public in the form of a Twitter bot for alerts and updates.

The Twitter bot is focused on California's MyTurn vaccination drive that has launched for the citizens of the state, which has been seen to run out of stocks and shots of the COVID-19 vaccine. The website automatically pins one's location and finds a vaccination clinic or facility nearby for stocks. However, the website was initially unable to provide updates due to shortage, which is why the bot was created.

Like most website change monitoring features, the CovaxSF Twitter bot does the same and performs a similar feat, as it inspects the website and determines any developments, especially if availability comes back. This is beneficial for people who are more inclined to use the Twitter application over the website-based monitoring applications.

How to Use CovaxSF Twitter Bot to Get Notifications

Like the Twitter and Discord Bots for the PlayStation 5, users need to have a Twitter account to use CovaxSF's features and functions to get notified. After creating an account, users need to follow the account of CovaxSF (@CovaxSF) and press the bell icon to toggle the tweet notifications for alerts and first notice on changes or announcements for the company.
