Elon Musk recently stated that Tesla Insurance will make everything "smooth sailing" especially as the service aims to provide all the needs to address the different problems of the electric vehicle like accidents. All electric vehicles of the company are equipped with Tesla's support and warranty, and it promises to answer "collision repair capability" soon with its services.
Accidents are the worst, and they are unexpected, that they bring additional costs, problems, and nuances that will hinder the use of the vehicle despite needing its services. However, it would not be like that with Tesla, as the company promises its insurance and repair leg is also capable of a mobile service that could address needs in a jiffy.
Elon Musk: Tesla Insurance to 'Make It Smooth Sailing'
According to the recent tweet of the Tesla CEO (@elonmusk), Tesla Insurance would soon debut "collision repair capability" for its services to address the different types of accidents that would unfortunately occur. Electric vehicles are also cars that need repairs whenever there is an accident that would take place, especially as it contains elements of a regular car.
Tesla is building up collision repair capability to help address the grief that you went through, but usually insurance companies make you go their “approved” collision repair partners. Tesla Insurance will make it smooth sailing.

Before this, "collision repair capability" is not yet available within Tesla's services, especially as the company tries to replace the different parts of the electric vehicle itself for its owners, Moreover, the company said that it would try to address fixing the affected parts with its different services, including its mobile repair service for customers.
What Tesla Insurance is doing with its collision repair capability venture is to have the repair in-house, and not source for other car repair shops as directed or approved by the selected insurance partner for this. Pretty soon, repairs would be a one-stop-shop within Tesla and its insurance body to address all needs for its electric vehicle problems.
Tesla Insurance Mobile Service
The reply was directed to an Elon Musk, Tesla, and SpaceX fan called "Everyday Astronaut" or Tim Dodd (@Erdayastronaut), who praised Tesla's Mobile Service that did several repairs for his EV. Dodd said that he got his Tesla EV for a repair on a certified body shop and some problems including the side mirror and windshield were having problems.
Ok, @tesla mobile service is amazing. When I got my car back from the Tesla certified body shop, the driver’s side mirror wasn’t working and there was a super loud whistle from the windshield. Tesla sent a mobile repair guy here, 3 minutes later everything was fixed. Wizards!!!

With this, Tesla sent a "mobile service" which went to the YouTuber's house and did the repair for the electric vehicle for a short time, addressing and fixing the problems of his Tesla EV. Dodd mentioned that his side mirrors were malfunctioning, along with a whistling sound coming from the windshield, but it was all fixed after the mobile team performed their services.
I’ve always been a huge fan of the mobile repairs. That should be expanded because it’s the best part of Tesla’s service by far. Granted many things can’t be done mobile, but those that can are so great for the customer.

Dodd believes that this "mobile repair service" from Tesla should be expanded to answer the different repair needs of the company's electric vehicles, without the need to bring it to the shop. This would be extremely beneficial for busy people who do not have time to take their EVs to the shop but needs to have them fixed immediately.
