A Google leaker claimed that the search engine giant could be working on some new powerful search tools for its Google Photos. If this is true, users can expect an easier category searching experience.

"Google Photos is working on search result refinement filters," said Jane Manchun Wong, renowned software leaker.

Right now, her post generated more than 120 likes and 8 comments. Some of the Twitter users are excited about the new features of the Google Photos app. On the other hand, others jokingly said that once the new search tools arrive, Google will delete them, just like the previous features of some of the company's apps.

How Google Photos' new search tools work

Based on the screenshots posted by Wong, the new search tools of Google Photos could help users find the specific categories they are looking for. These include Motion Photos, Selfies, Videos, and more.

You can even use the contacts on your device to find their images on your Google Photos account. However, Google hasn't confirmed yet if the new search tools will really arrive.

The tech giant company also didn't state if these new filters would increase the capability of its powerful text-based search box.

But, if Google do release the new features, users can have a considerably easier experience when doing complex searching activities on the popular Google Photos application, as reported by Forbes.

Other innovations of Google

According to Life Hacker's previous report, Google also developed a new keyboard shortcut that would help users speed up their searching activities. This new feature is very easy to use. 

All you need to do is go to the Google search results page and click the "/" key. However, you need to remember that this doesn't work when you initially load the search engine. On the other hand, you can also use CTRL + E or CTRL + K so that the things you are going to search for will appear on Google.
