The Acer Enduro Urban N3 Might Be Your Next Laptop

Acer just released a new addition to their current generation lineup of laptops, and it seems to be a very good choice for techies on the go.

NotebookCheck.net reports that the brand new Acer Urban N3 is a Windows 10 laptop designed for semi-rugged use. The machine features very respectable specs for the asking price, and is something that you might want to check out if you're looking for a laptop that's ready to get down and dirty. Acer did a great job configuring the Enduro Urban N3, and it might be your next laptop.

Respectable Specs

The Enduro Urban N3 is a no-frills Acer laptop. It has everything you need for blazing-fast performance in basic and even advanced productivity workloads.

WindowsCentral.com reports that the specs are as follows. You can get either an Intel Core i5 1135G7 or Core i7 1165G7 processor, which are no slouches of CPUs. The i5 features 4 cores and 8 threads with a max boost clock of 4.2 GHz on all cores, according to Intel's Ark website. As for the i7, it has the same amount of threads and cores (4 & 8) but with a higher boost clock of 4.7 GHz.

Rounding up the specs, we have super-fast SSDs for both Enduro Urban N3 models. You will get a 512 GB SSD and 8GB of RAM for the i5 model, and a 1TB SSD with 16GB RAM for the i7 model, reports T3.com. Also, the two laptops feature full HD 1080p displays, a massive 13-hour battery life so you don't have to worry about your machine dying at inopportune times, and Windows 10 Home operating systems.

The one big thing separating the i7-equipped model is the discreet GeForce MX330 graphics card, which according to TechPowerUp.com sports 2 GB of GDDR5 VRAM and is powerful enough to be around 11 percent slower than a desktop Radeon HD 7790.

With the release of the N3, Acer joins the current-generation crop of laptops like the LG Gram 2021 which feature Intel's latest 11^th gen mobile processors that are touted for their excellent balance of performance and power efficiency.

Built To Take A Beating

But enough about the boring tech specs. What else can it do? Well, compared to Microsoft's Surface Laptop 3 who had problems with easily-cracked screens, the Enduro Urban N3 is an Acer laptop built to take a beating.

For one, the laptop is IP53 water and dust-resistant. Even its buttons, ports, and speakers are protected. Water and dust might get in, but the inner tech won't be compromised. It even has a dedicated drainage system that helps dry it out if you accidentally spill any water on it. And for those who are pretty clumsy with their machines and prone to dropping stuff, the new Enduro has shock-absorbing bumpers on its corners, reports HotHardware.com.

For those who want to try it out, the Acer Enduro Urban N3 retails for USD $799 for the i5 model, and USD $999 for the i7. There's no word on the official release yet, but you can check the official Acer product page for updates.
