Apple's upcoming iOS 14.5 will bring a new controversial security update for App Store. The new App Tracking Transparency is expected to be launched on Apr. 26. 

The tech giant manufacturer explained that once App Store's ATT is released, application developers will be required to send Apple's required App Privacy Labels.

They need to release their reports and should state the tracking activities of their new applications. Apple also announced that they should provide their Apple Privacy Labels on Apr. 26. 

If you have no idea what App Privacy Label is, this feature informs users about the data that various apps collect from them. It is a great innovation since security issues are becoming more rampant than ever. 

Apple's App Privacy Transparency 

Independent UK reported that the upcoming ATT of the Apple App Store could be a controversial one. This tool is expected to require ad companies to ask for explicit permission before they track any online behavior of users on certain apps.

On the other hand, the new App Tracking Transparency will also prevent app developers use the ID for Advertisers or IDFA. Because of the new ATT tool, users can soon feel safer when installing new apps. 

Previously, App Store allows application developers to access a unique identifier. This could allow them to tie consumers' behaviors back to their devices. But, this will soon be changed once App Tracking Transparency arrives.  

Why is it controversial? 

Previously, various advertisers criticized Apple's upcoming App Tracking Transparency tool. One of these companies is Facebook. 

The giant social media platform claimed that Apple's new security update for its App Store could affect the current advertising ad business. 

Because of this, Facebook protested against the new ATT since the giant social media firm expects it to have some effects on its ad revenue, as explained by Apple Insider
