Apple is now sending a new survey to its Apple Watch users, and this time the company wants to learn more about how its consumers user it to monitor health data.

Apple Watch 7 Glucose Monitoring

Interestingly, the company asks if the user has any apps installed to monitor medications, eating habits, and blood glucose levels.

The screenshot of the survey was shared to 9to5Mac by one of its readers, who received the email from Apple on May 9.

In the email Apple stated that it wants feedback on the Apple Watch user experience, with a link to submit the answers. The survey has a section that is dedicated to health features, which have become a major selling point of the Apple Watch since its introduction.

Apple first asks about the features built into watchOS, including step counting, activity rings, flights climbed, stand up reminders, and the Workout app, and the company wants to know which of these features consumers use the most.

Following these questions, Apple also asks about third-party apps for managing health data.

The survey provides options about using third-party apps for tracking workouts, monitoring eating habits including nutrition and hydration, and managing other heath care like medications and monitoring blood glucose levels.

The company usually sends surveys to consumers in order to find out what they think about a product or what they miss on it.

While the options that are mentioned in surveys do not necessarily make it into a product, recent rumors indicate that Apple is working on a new blood glucose level sensor for Apple Watch Series 7, which is expected to be launched later this year.

Back in 2020, Apple asked some of the iPhone users if they kept the power adapter that came in the box when they purchased the product.

Months later, iPhone 12 was announced with the charger not included. Another survey asked what users thought about Face ID before the release of iOS 14.5 with an option to unlock the iPhone using the Apple Watch when wearing a mask.

Apple Watch 7 Leaks

According to TechRadar, the only real release data rumors come from Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst with a great track record for Apple information. He suggested that fans will see a new Apple Watch model in the second half of 2021.

Apple has a track record of launching new Apple Watches in September. The only exception was last year, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

As for its price, there is no news yet.

However, Apple has been consistent with the pricing of its watches. The Apple Watch 6 costs $399, and while there has been some fluctuation in pricing across the last few models, they are all in the same ballpark, so the Apple Watch 7 may be around that same price range.

MacRumors reported that the new Apple Watch's momentum in 2021 will benefit from innovative health management functions and improved form factor design.

So, that means that Apple Watch 7 might have both new health features and a new design, including the glucose monitoring feature.
