"Dear Travelers, to ensure the security of your account and enjoy a better gaming experience, please complete your account information as soon as possible," said the popular game developer via its official Twitter account.

MiHoYo's latest tweet was able to generate more than 770 retweets, 370 quote tweets, and 8,520 likes.

Many fans were not happy with miHoYo's decision since the one feature they were asking for is the "Genshin Impact" 2FA (Two Factor Authentication) feature. Some of the commentators said that this is a problem for them since they still can't find their email accounts linked to their miHoYo account.

This is just one issue that the players are complaining about.

On the other hand, Delto, one of the commentators in miHoYo's blog post, said that the upcoming security update still can't protect their account from hackers and other cybercriminals.

What You Need to Do Once MiHoYo's Update Rolls Out?

According to miHoYo's official website, "Genshin Impact" players need to complete their account info as soon as possible so that there would not be an issue once the new security feature arrives.

On the other hand, miHoYo said that the travelers need to remember the security update's release date to avoid any disruption. Once it rolls out, the game developer clarified that the players of the popular adventure game will still be able to use their username and other information linked to their miHoYo account.

Aside from this, miHoYo advised them not to share their password with any other party. The game developer also said that "Genshin Impact" players should remember their linked account information.

To protect your miHoYo account further, players are advised to use a secure network and trusted devices to log into the game. This will allow them to avoid possible risks to their account's security.

Will 'Genshin Impact' 2FA Arrive?

As of the moment, the Chinese game developer hasn't confirmed if there will be a 2FA security feature. Although this is the case, Games Radar confirmed that the game developer is working on a new security feature that will ensure the security of players' accounts.

On the other hand, some rumors claimed that it could arrive in the upcoming "Genshin Impact 1.6," which is expected to roll out on June 9. However, you still need to remember that these are still speculations.

The best thing you can do right now is to wait for miHoYo's actual announcements.
