Apple has debuted the iPad Pro 2021 with the M1 Mac chip, a computer silicon chip that has been tested for its benchmark. It showed a 50 percent increase in the tablet's performance. With this being said, the iPad Pro 2021 may not be considered a tablet anymore, as it holds a computer chip for its main process.

The M1 has always been met with remarkable praises and performance reviews since its release last November 2020 with the "One More Thing" event that introduced the new MacBook Air, Pro, and Mini. Apple's new ARM-based Silicon chip has given a new direction for the Cupertino giant after ditching Intel, and it is a good one for the company.

While the Spring Loaded event last April 20 has been long behind, it still brought the colorful and M1 iMacs for the public, along with a surprise update for the iPad Pro that now has the M1 as its chip. It was previously known that all variants of the iPad line use the Bionic A-chips that was manufactured by Apple's partner, Taiwanese Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).

In the Geekbench 5 Benchmark Test, the M1 iPad Pro has a single-core score of 1,718 while its multi-core (8-core CPU) listed a 7,284 process. This is an outstanding Geekbench score, has shown how much the 12.9-inch iPad Pro has grown with the 2021 update with the M1, and it has significantly upgraded the performance of the device that resembles that of a computer.

The 2020 iPad Pro (12.9-inch) that sports the A12Z Bionic chip from Apple has registered a single-core score of 1,121 and 4,656 for its multi-core results from the same test. This result shows how much it has grown, and that the computer chip works better for the iPad, making it almost like a computer, more than it is a tablet.

2021 is a historic year for the world, as it debuted the administration of the COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna, which is one of the world's fastest answers to a global pandemic. But one more achievement this year was the release of the iPad Pro 2021 with M1, which is a massive step for Apple's development of the chip.

Massive speculations hint at the arrival of M2 this year, and it is coming for the update of the Macbooks that would also debut the MagSafe charger and additional ports for the computer. The major development of the iPad Pro shows Apple's commitment to making it a tablet for professionals, which also resembles that of a computer.
