High refresh rate gaming is basically as important as crisp resolutions during this gaming generation, with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X's 120 Hz support. You want all of that if you're a gamer because the higher the refresh rate, the smoother the gameplay experience will be.

This will result in more headshots than deaths, and that's a guarantee.
The Samsung Q80 QLED features one of the lowest input lag ratings in the business: 8.7 ms. This is an excellent rating considering that it's a 4K TV and not a dedicated gaming monitor, which usually comes with as little as 2 ms of input lag. As for the LG UN8500, there's no mention of its response time rating anywhere. So, we're going with who wins by default: the Samsung Q80 QLED.
Dolby Vision Is the Best Vision
A modern 4K TV can come with so many features that you'll probably not be aware of how half of them work. But if you're buying a 4K gaming TV (emphasis on "gaming"), then you'll need excellent color accuracy to truly enjoy all those next-gen visuals.
