AMD Ryzen 9 5950X restock was spotted online from two different online retailers. For those trying to build their dream PC with the need for one of the best CPUs in the market, the Ryzen 9 5950X could be the perfect fit.

AMD Ryzen 9 5950X Restock Online

With the global semiconductor shortage, not only GPUs have been affected but CPUs as well. With CPU stocks getting even more scarce, purchasing the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X is definitely a steal.

The problem as of the moment is no longer the battle between which is better, Intel or AMD. It is actually whether or not there is any available stock online of high powered CPU. Due to the high demand of electronics, cryptominers needing more powerful units, and the global chip shortage, the demand for CPUs have skyrocketed.

AMD Ryzen 9 5950X Scarcity Online

Gamers now have a hard time gaining access to CPUs like the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X online. The good thing, however, is that they are not that rare in comparison to GPUs like the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000 series that seem to automatically be wiped out online the moment it becomes available.

A certain tracker on Twitter that usually gives updates on PS5 restock or Xbox Series X restock, SpielTimes just recently announced the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X online on Amazon. A reply to the tweet shortly followed announcing Antonline also had stock available. A commenter, however, noted that it was still $40 over the official "MSRP B&H is Gloated Though."

AMD Ryzen 9 5950X Specs

According to the Amazon posting, the CPU costs a whopping $1,019! For those that aren't too familiar with the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X and what buyers will be getting once they purchase the CPU, here are the specs of one of Ryzen's newest processors:

  • 16 Cores

  • 32 Threads

  • 100+ FPS

  • 4.9GHz Max Boost

  • Unlocked for Overclocking

  • 72MB Cache

  • 4MB Secondary Cache

  • DDR-3200 Support

  • PCIe4.0 on X570 and B550 Support

  • 105 Watts

With PC parts being extremely rare and hard to purchase online, for those that are slowly working towards building their next PC, it might be a good idea to start buying certain chips needed as soon as possible. While CPUs might not be as scarce as GPUs, the lack of supply for all electronic parts is still quite difficult.

Global Chip Shortage

Due to the global chip shortage, gamers might have a hard time buying certain parts at fair prices even up until next year as manufacturers are still finding ways to deal with the global chip shortage. With the high demand in chips and the low supply of certain chips, especially the GPU, gamers will have to either buy at saturated prices or perhaps wait until they are able to find one that is fairly priced.

Buying a chip at it's MSRP, however, is very difficult and gamers might have to settle for higher-priced CPUs and GPUs as of the moment. This is often the case even for the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X.
