CES 2015 was a show full of excited tech geeks of all kinds that came out to see everything from cars to drones to Oculus Rift. There were also many areas set up and famous companies well represented for photographers and fans of photography. Tech Times caught up with Nikon Ambassador and educator, Joe McNally, for a one-on-one interview to talk about everything from his own experiences in the photography world to how he climbed the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. During his career, McNally has photographed an array of subjects, including Presidents, Olympians, Oscar winners, Cirque de Soleil performers and everyday people. Joe McNally Fun Facts:

1. Joe was awarded Photographer of the Year, on January 5, 2015 from the PMDA because of his influence and excellence in the field of photography.

2. He recently released shots of mermaids and a golfer and in October, scary trees in the woods, plus traveled almost half a million miles by plane last year alone.

3. Joe has 30+ years as a photojournalist and has done covers for TIME, Newsweek, National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, and was the very last photographer with LIFE Magazine.

4. In practice he is a generalist, but really a faces guy so portraits are what he loves the most. He likes characters, faces with character, and has spent years working with dancers and professional athletes.


5. He is also a best selling writer of several books, 'The Moment it Clicks', 'Sketching Light', 'The Hot Shoe Diaries' and more. He also has educational videos such as 'The Language of Light' and even has audiobooks in Spanish.

6. He is an inspirational speaker considered to be one of the most influential photographers in the history of photography.
