GRUENHEIDE, GERMANY - SEPTEMBER 03: Tesla head Elon Musk talks to the press as he arrives to to have a look at the construction site of the new Tesla Gigafactory near Berlin on September 03, 2020 near Gruenheide, Germany. Musk is currently in Germany where he met with vaccine maker CureVac on Tuesday, with which Tesla has a cooperation to build devices for producing RNA vaccines, as well as German Economy Minister Peter Altmaier yesterday.

It was first announced on January 28 that "Cyberpunk 2077" and "The Witcher 3" could run on the entertainment console of the newest Tesla Model S. Now, it has been seen live in action during the launch of the vehicle's Plaid variant, at least through a live stream.

Tesla Model S Plaid Gaming Rig: PS5-Level Performance

According to The Verge, Musk described it as "PS5-level performance," which is somewhat accurate. The PlayStation 5 sports 10.28 teraflops, while the gaming rig of Tesla is at 10 teraflops as well.

On the other hand, the Xbox Series packs more power at 12 teraflops. Perhaps that is why Musk chose to specifically dub it as "PS5-level" of power.

The newest vehicle was first anticipated to release sometime in February. However, due to delays, it was only unveiled this June 11.

AMD Powered Gaming Rig

When Musk teased that passengers could soon play popular games from high-performing consoles, rumors floated that AMD will power its built-in gaming rig.

The CEO of AMD, Lisa Su, confirmed the news on June 1. Both Tesla Model S and Model X 10 will be carrying a gaming rig powered by AMD. To be precise, their infotainment system will have AMD APUs or Ryzen chips with Radeon graphics inside it.

Elon Musk Playing Cyberpunk 2077

Virtually, the fans of the EV company were able to see Musk playing "Cyberpunk 2077" in the new built-in gaming rig of Tesla Model S Plaid. Although the video is too dark to clearly see Musk, the screen was bright enough to show that the CEO is indeed playing the game, CNET reported.

Tesla Branded Controller

Meanwhile, some Reddit users had a rare sighting of what seems to be a Tesla-branded controller during the launch.

The Verge noted that it is still unknown if the controller actually works. It is noteworthy that the possibility of it being a dummy for the sake of the demo could be high.

Additionally, some users on Reddit also suggest that Musk used an Xbox controller to play "Cyberpunk 2077." So, the Tesla controller could perhaps be in the works as of now.
