Apple announced that it is finally adding support for Windows Precision Touchpad drivers in its latest Boot Camp update.
The new update now includes Windows Precision Touchpad support with a single tap to click, down motion to scroll up, lower-right corner to right-click, and three to four-finger gestures.
Apple Supports Windows Precision Touchpad
Numerous Reddit users had noticed the new update that went live on June 10, and it works better than any third-party solutions like Trackpad++ and mac-precision-touchpad that people have had to use these past few years.
One Reddit user stated that the update works way better than the other third-party solutions with better palm and thumb detection as well, according to Apple Insider.

Microsoft first started introducing Windows Precision Touchpad with Intel back in 2013 in an effort to fix what were notorious PC trackpad issues at the time.
However, it has taken Apple years to enable Windows Precision Touchpad in Boot Camp, but not every MacBook is supported, according to The Verge.
An Apple support document notes that only Mac computers with a T2 chip will be able to access Windows Precision Touchpad, which is most MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models from 2018 to the present.
The timing of this massive update to Boot Camp is surprising for users, and it could hint that Intel-based Macs will coexist with Apple's M1-based Macs for a while yet, according to 9to5 Mac.
In 2020, Apple discontinued Intel-based MacBook Airs, but users can still purchase a 13-inch MacBook Pro with an Intel CPU for now. Apple has stated that its transition to silicon will take them about two years to complete.
Enabling Windows Precision Touchpad
To check if your Windows 10 PC is equipped with the Precision Touchpad drivers, go to Settings, click on Devices, then select Touchpad.
If you see the "Your PC has a precision touchpad" text pop-up, then you are already using a Windows 10 PC with a Precision Touchpad.
That means that you already have the drivers, so you do not have to do anything else. Even if your touchpad does not feel great, that is an issue with the hardware and not the drivers.
If you don't see the text pop-up, then your PC does not have the Precision Touchpad drivers installed. You can improve your touchpad responsiveness by installing the Precision Touchpad drivers.
The set of Precision Touchpad drivers that you need will depend on whether your Windows 10 PC uses a Synaptics touchpad or one made by ELAN. That can be checked from the Device Manager.
In order to open it, right-click the Start menu and select the Device Manager commend.
Expand the "Mice and other pointing options" category. You can check to see whether you have a Synaptics or ELAN input device. If the name of the touchpad in Device Manager does not give you an indication, double-click the device to open its properties window and check the listed manufacturer.
To install the Precision Touchpad Drivers, click on the Synaptics or ELAN touchpad device. It is under the "Mice and other pointing devices" category in Device Manager, and select Update Driver command. Select the Browse My Computer option.
Click the Let Me Pick From a List of Available Drivers on my Computer option, then click the Have Disk button at the bottom right corner of the window. Click the Browse button in the window.
Then select the Autorun.inf. file in the Synaptics or ELAN folder and click the Open button. Click OK afterward.
