A new Xbox TV App is expected to arrive. However, Microsoft hasn't confirmed the exact release date as of the moment. Although this is the case, some rumors and speculations claimed that the tech giant company is working on an innovation that would extend its Xbox Game Pass service to televisions.

On the other hand, various sources stated that Microsoft will do this by using its latest Xbox Cloud Gaming service, which is specifically designed to enable cloud-based gaming.

Aside from the new Xbox TV App, Microsoft is also allegedly working on a new streaming stick that would be used together with the new application.

"We're working with global TV manufacturers to embed the Game Pass experience directly into internet-connected TVs so all you'll need to play is a controller," said Microsoft's Head of Gaming Experiences and Platforms, Liz Hamren.

"We're also developing standalone streaming devices that you can plug into a TV or monitor, so if you have a strong internet connection, you can stream your Xbox experience," added Hamren.

On the other hand, Microsoft explained that the new Xbox TV application can be downloaded by iOS and Android users through their smartphones. Thanks to this innovation, Microsoft could also extend its reach by making apps for Android TV, Samsung's Tizen operating system, and more.

Microsoft, together with Google, is one of the companies that are making efforts to make cloud gaming services more popular than ever. This was shown after Microsoft released its new Xbox Cloud Gaming service and when Google decided to unveil its Google Stadia platform.

Xbox Game Pass Is the Future Of Gaming?

Since Microsoft will extend the Xbox Game Pass service to televisions, many users will more interested to use it. Toms Guide also reported that Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass service could also be the future of gaming, especially since some experts claimed that it is now more advanced than Sony and PS5.

Although this is the case, critics and other analysts believe that Microsoft still needs to put more effort since most of the Xbox Game Pass service games don't last that long.
