JUST IN: Two-time TI champion OG's Anathan "ana" Pham decided to step away from Dota 2 competition just two months after returning to the roster--confirmed by OG official Twitter account.

On OG's website, it published Ana's farewell letter, and it reads,

I have been on the fence about this for a while now but am ready to move on to a new chapter in my life.

Long story short, Dota has been the biggest part of my life for the longest time and I am starting to find and appreciate other things in life that I want to learn about and explore.

The OG squad has been incredibly understanding and accommodating and I feel that this decision is the best for not only myself but the team as well. I have learned so much both inside of Dota and outside of the game with OG.

This organization will always feel like home to me. This game will always hold a special place in my heart and I am immensely grateful to the Dota community and the people I have met along the way. I also want to add a special thanks to my family and friends.

In the same post, although Ana took a long break, the team was glad to have him back and compete for OG in the DPC. Sadly, Ana decided to step away. Apparently, no hard feelings within the team as OG said in the letter that Ana "will always be considered a part of our family, and we completely respect his decision."

According to Dot Esports, the decision came after weeks of deliberation while OG was preparing to compete in the European regional qualifiers for The International 10 (TI 10).

It seems 2021 is not a good year for OG as the team failed to qualify for ONE Esports Singapore Major. Although Ana returned, the team still was unable to qualify for the WePlay Esports AniMajor. But who knows, there might be another miracle for the team, just like what happened during DOTA 2 TI 2019 and TI 2018.
