Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 specs rumor revealed! Rumor reveals two massive storage options for the new Samsung device. Could the new storage options limit the need for microSD cards?

Google Pixel and Google Nexus

Google has not been a fan of the use of removable storage on Android and also still refuses to use a microSD card reader in any of its Pixel or Nexus phones. Another Android smartphone maker, on the other hand, wants to see its customers happy.

Samsung has started to slowly get rid of the memory expansion options from most of its flagship phones. This ultimately started the rumor of the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 storage space being more significant, especially when it comes to the new rumored price tag.

MicroSD for Samsung Devices

Although there's nothing really wrong about using a microSD and having a card slot on phones like the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 or the Samsung Galaxy S21, it might be a different story when it comes to foldable phones. Samsung has already attempted to avoid any particularly potential place of entry for other particles, given just how sensitive a number of the devices' components are.

It also might have just been trying to reduce the overall manufacturing costs by trying to leave out what a lot of people would consider as "unnecessary features." Unfortunately, this would also mean that users will be left with just the device's storage capacity available.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 256GB Memory Option

According to SlashGear, users will be getting the memory that they paid for when buying the device itself. When it comes to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and its whopping $2,000 price tag, having a maximum of 256GB of storage without chances of upgrade might feel a bit suffering.

The rumor notes that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be priced more affordably compared to the previous year's foldable model, according to Naver. The phone will also be starting directly at 256GB instead of having low storage starting options.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 512GB Storage Option

This, however, is still a matter of perspective. Although 256GB remains a lot, it might still not cater to every users' needs. As of the moment, however, it might just have a price that would set better expectations. There are also rumors of a bigger 512GB configuration that would most likely demand a higher price tag.

A tweet by @kbc20000 showed a list of different Galaxy Z Fold 3 device updates that could potentially include the 512GB option. Although this isn't confirmed, the rumors are quite promising to think of.

There could, however, be pros and cons when it comes to buying a phone with its internal storage as its only memory option. Users that buy the device won't be able to upgrade the storage to a higher memory.
