When it comes to first aid, there's a lot that can be helpful to know whether you have to use it on a loved one, colleague or complete stranger. For CPR, it's an important and an often critical certification that could help in a scenario where it's warranted. Here are some reasons to learn CPR.

You never know when you might need it

Whenever you get online CPR certification, the knowledge that you'll learn is certainly one that will be useful from that day forward. We all go through life, not expecting what will come next and with that being said, anyone could be put in a situation where someone has collapsed and their heart has stopped beating.

When you're in that scenario, wouldn't you like to be part of the few that have CPR training? It's honestly something that could happen to anyone and having that training could be critical at times where it happens unexpectedly and in often situations where immediate medical care isn't available.

It saves lives

One of the biggest reasons to learn CPR is that doing so can help save lives. There are lots of times where CPR has saved someone from the brink of death and without it, there wouldn't be a problem who have lived to tell the tale. It can give some people a new lease of life and the opportunity to make more memories with their family and friends.

Statistically, CPR is known to help cardiac arrest survival rates significantly so it's something that makes sense to do. This is particularly so in working environments where there might be many staff to hand and available for emergency situations.

Could help with recovery for the person in question

When it comes to cardiac arrest, every second and minute counts because it can certainly have an impact on the person's health, if the person survives. With CPR, it can really help save not only the person's life, but the amount of recovery they'll need to do as a result.

So if there's a need for CPR training within the workplace or it's simply something that you want to learn in order to have the knowledge, it can really help with the recovery process of the person in question.

Not enough people can do it

Sadly, first aid isn't something that everyone actively learns from a young age. It's not something that's taught in the classroom so much and therefore many adults will be unaware of how to successfully give or just deliver CPR to another person, whether it's an adult, child or even a pet.

CPR can really help save lives and yet not everyone is rushing to get CPR training and a certificate to say so. It's important that more people do and it can really ensure that more lives are saved and not lost going forward.

There are plenty of reasons as to why you should learn CPR but the most obvious one is that it can help save a life.
