NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough has just recently shared a picture with those back on Earth of how the view looks from outside the Endeavour's window. The photo shows the "terminator line" which is the line between dark and light.

Shane Kimbrough, a NASA astronaut and US army colonel, was really excited to share both NASA and the ISS with people, according to his Twitter description. The AH-64 Apache pilot, father, and husband greeted everyone a "Happy monday" from the ISS. This came with a picture that showed a glimpse of the wonders of space.

The picture showed the terminator line which was spotted outside the Endeavour's window. Shane noted that the high beta that they were in had them flying well along the terminator line. Hence, Shane was able to get a good shot, as seen on his tweet. In other news, Jeff Bezos is preparing for his trip to space!

For those that don't really know what the Endeavour is, it is really called the Crew Dragon Endeavour or Dragon capsule C206. This is a Crew Dragon spacecraft that was manufactured and also operated by SpaceX and made use of NASA's official Commercial Crew Program.

It was previously launched into orbit atop a powerful Falcon 9 rocket which took place back in May 30, 2020. It was successfully able to dock on the ISS or International Space Station on May 31, 2020 as part of the new Crew Dragon Demo-2 mission. The understanding of space is very important to humans but it is mostly underestimated.

Dragon Capsul and Missions STS-127 and STS-123

This was the very first crewed test flight by the Dragon capsule and was reportedly carrying Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley. It was reportedly the spacecraft that was used in the first crewed orbital spaceflight coming from the United States since the STS-135 in July, 2011 as well as the first crewed orbital spaceflight by a new private company.

In August 2020, it finally returned to Earth. The spacecraft was then named by both Hurley and Behnken after the Space Shuttle Endeavor which they reportedly flew into space during both the STS-127 and the STS-123 missions respectively. The name Endeavour is reportedly also shared by the command module of the famed Apollo 15.

Who is Shane Kimbrough?

For those unfamiliar with Shane Kimbrough, according to his biography on NASA, he previously flew on the Expedition 49/50 mission where he was successfully able to perform 4 spacewalks and has even logged in a total of a whopping 189 days in  space! Kimb rough is currently assigned as the Commander of the newer NASA SpaceX Crew-2 mission to the International Space Station which was launched in April 2021.

Shane Kimbrough reportedly graduated from The Lovett School, Atlanta, Georgia, back in 1985 and also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering directly from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. In 1989, he was also reportedly able to receive a Master of Science degree in Operations Research from the official Georgia Institute of Technology back in 1998.
