Twitter Beta has all new features coming along with its next update.

Twitter's long-term goal seems to mimic what's already been done by other major social media platforms.

There are two new features that Twitter Beta is showcasing; the features will help host events, and gain a subscription fee for your favorite accounts.

Brand New Features

The features included in the Twitter Beta are for creators to post and host more content within its platform, and have a program for their followers, according to Gizmodo.

However, before you can start using the two features, you would need to rreach certain criteria first.

For you to have the Super Follows program, a paid subscription for fans, you have to be a native to the US who is over 18 years of age. You also need to have at least 10,000 followers, and have tweeted over 25 times over the past 30 days.

As for the second feature supported in Twitter Beta dubbed as the Ticketed Spaces program, you would also need to be over 18 years of age and have a verified email address, but only 1,000 followers with your account.

You also need to have a history that's free of violating any or all of Twitter's ads policies-also, adhering to Twitter's standard in terms of content monetization.

Furthermore, you should also already have hosted a minimum of three convos using Twitter Spaces over the past 30 days.

Once you meet the requirements, you can see the new features under a new tab called "monetization."

Similar to Other Apps

If you're familiar with the site called Patreon, then these two features would look similar in nature and work almost the same way as PCMag stated.

The Super Follows system is the same as what Patreon does, which offers subscribers a monthly fee of viewing the content of their favorite creator with additional perks as you go up the subscription base.

The prices that Twitter offers for the Super Follows are as follows: $2.99, $4.99, and $9.99.

Super Follows would be able to have badges that would help viewers and the creator know that they are your Super Follower as they reply to your Tweets, which gives them some sort of a priority status alongside it.

There would also be bonus content that Twitter mentioned to creators, in which they can share unscripted thoughts, opinions, ideas with extra Tweets.

Personal replies can also be seen by Super Follows.

There really isn't any difference between unscripted thoughts and opinions with normal tweets, but Twitter recommended it anyway.

Tickets Spaces Charge How Much?

Ticketed Spaces program, however, would charge users for a one-time payment to attend the Spaces chat that creator's host. As Twitter explained, the creators have a lot of leeway when it comes to setting their prices for their events.

Prices for the Ticketed Spaces program can range from a dollar all the way up to $999 at most.

This would be a good revenue stream for celebrities and musicians to host mini-concerts or talk shows, just like when people would buy their tickets to see their show.

Twitter gets a 3% cut as the announcement explained that creators who host "can earn up to 97% of the revenue," if less than $50,000 in earnings. If it reaches the $50,000 threshold, it will then spike up to 20% of all creator's future earnings.
