A customer types on a MacBook laptop at an Apple Store following an announcement that Apple has become the world's most valuable brand on May 9, 2011 in San Francisco, California. In a report released by London based Millward Brown, Apple Inc. has surpassed Google to claim the top spot in a global ranking.

If this is true, the new laptop Face ID version of Apple would be a great safety feature for its upcoming MacBook models. The tech giant manufacturer's computers are still relying on passwords, which is not that reliable since hackers and other online attackers are finding ways to acquire these security codes.

The information was first revealed by one of the popular writers and journalists, Mark Gurman. He detailed the important information of the alleged Apple MacBook Face ID on his Power On newsletter's latest edition.

"But I expect that to eventually change. It won't happen this year, but I'd bet Face ID on the Mac is coming within a couple of years. I expect all iPhones and iPads to transition to Face ID within that timeframe, too," said the Bloomberg journalist

"Eventually, a camera embedded in the screen would help differentiate Apple's pricier devices by eliminating the notch at the top. The facial recognition sensor gives Apple two central features: security and augmented reality. Touch ID, more convenient or not, only provides the former," added Gurman.

Aside from this, Mac Rumors also reported that the tech giant creator could also integrate its popular security functionality to iPhone SE and iPad Air models

Some rumors claimed that Apple could continue this innovation since the giant iPhone maker plans to shift all of its gadgets to Face ID.

Face ID Is Better Than Touch ID?

The rumored MacBook Face ID integration is believed to be beneficial for Apple consumers. Critics claimed that this new version of the security feature would not only act as an alternative authentication function.

They explained that Face ID is better than Touch ID since it allows depth mapping and the integration of augmented reality applications.
