Amazon Alexa is so 2018, but Amazon Ziggy is the next big thing for the company, as it brings a masculine voice option for the AI assistant to morph into. Alexa may be Amazon's first assistant, but now it is offering two, for a more rounded experience when giving commands and receiving answers.

Voice assistants changing their voices are not new to the industry anymore, and Apple is one of the most popular thoughts that comes to mind, as Siri offers a diverse variety of voices to choose from.

Well for Amazon, this is a first and something which was not done before, making it a special counterpart for Alexa.

There are two options on how to change to Ziggy, Amazon Alexa's new masculine counterpart. And there is a somewhat loophole here, as Alexa is known to be "genderless."

According to CNet, users can either change to Ziggy for its overall voice option, or only its "wake word," the name users call out to when they command something to the AI.

How Does Ziggy Sound Like?

Users would need to change the Wake Word, as they can still call out to Alexa, and have the voice of Ziggy answer. That would not only be weird but be confusing for the user.

The voice of Ziggy is a deep treble, and rich-sounding voice. It gives the vibes of a well rounded individual. Hear Amazon Ziggy's voice for yourself, on the video below.
