"New Pokemon Snap" fans will have something to look forward to as Niantic announced that there will be a massive update for the popular adventure title on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite systems.
The giant game publisher confirmed that the advanced in-game changes will be launched this coming Aug. 4, only a few days ahead.
"Welcome to the Lental region, whose islands hold everything from dense jungles to vast deserts! New Pokémon Snap is an all-new game inspired by the 1999 Nintendo 64 game Pokémon Snap," announced the game developer.
"This Nintendo Switch adventure will take you from island to island on an ecological survey, photographing Pokémon and building your own Pokémon Photodex!" added Niantic.
'New Pokemon Snap' Major Details
According to the official press release of Niantic, the upcoming "New Pokemon GO Snap" will offer new areas across the Lental Region, as well as new pocket monsters you can photograph. Specifically, there will be 20 additional Pokemon that you definitely need to discover.
Niantic confirmed that you can install the new version of the current "Pokemon Snap" for free once the release date arrives. You can download the new content update starting at exactly 2:00 a.m. BST this August 4.

On the other hand, here are the three new places you can explore in the upcoming version of "Pokemon Snap."
Barren Badlands (Night/Day)
Once you enter this place, you are required to research the badlands of Voluca Island. It will offer some new in-game content, such as poisonous, gas-spewing swamps and geysers. On the other hand, you can also find some new pocket monsters underground and in rocky cliffs.
Secret Side Path (Day/Night)
The NEO-ONE shrinks to a tiny size when you explore this area, so the Pokémon you see will look gigantic! You can even hear their breathing and footsteps in this thrilling area, and you might spot new kinds of behavior from Pokémon you've seen before.
Mightywide River (Day/Night)
You will be conducting another research once you enter this nurturing water source, which provides the whole of Belusylva Island with sustenance. This means that you need to be more careful, especially if you are in part with rapids when searching for the new Pokemon.
'New Pokemon Snap' New Pocket Monsters
One of the pocket monsters that you should be looking forward to is the majestic Wailord. You can take pictures of him in clear tropical waters.
On the other hand, there will also be more plant-type Pokemon in the Lental Region. However, they will be different from the current version of the titles since these new characters will have unique properties.
