The rising COVID-19 cases are currently forcing various government agencies to vaccinate their residents as soon as possible, especially since new coronavirus strains, such as Delta and Lambda, are now appearing.
Recently, CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and WHO (World Health Organization) warned various countries that the new Delta could become the most dominant strain of COVID-19. Now, it seems like the predictions are true since the United States and other parts of the globe are facing rising Delta cases.
Now, Dr. Ghassan Kamel of St. Louis revealed two new lung x-rays of vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals to show how alarming the ongoing pandemic really is. Based on his photos, the unvaccinated patient's lungs appear to be completely white.
This means that it is filled with COVID-19 particles. On the other hand, the vaccinated individual's lungs still have some black spaces, showing that the person can still breathe since plenty of air is flowing free from the virus.
Unvaccinated Vs. Vaccinated: Younger People Now At Risk
According to the Daily Mail UK's latest report, various experts are now seeing younger people getting infected by the new COVID-19 variants.
When the pandemic is just beginning, medical researchers said that older people should be prioritized when vaccines arrive since younger ones are not highly at risk of getting infected.

However, Dr. Kamel confirmed that young individuals are now highly at risk of Delta and other new variants. He added that they saw a rising number of young patients from 2020 until 2021.
The COVID-19 expert added that they now see very sick individuals in different hospitals and other medical firms.
"They definitely at least would require oxygen and sometimes they would require more than just oxygen," he added.
Aside from this, the doctor also warned unvaccinated individuals that if they are somehow infected by COVID-19 now, they could be on life support and other medical severe scenarios.
Microsoft Now Requires COVID-19 Vaccination Proof
Since COVID-19 is getting more dangerous, The Verge reported that Microsoft is now one of the giant tech firms requiring COVID-19 vaccination proof before people enter its buildings.
The giant tech developer already informed its employees to show their vaccination documents starting this coming September. However, there are still special accommodations for those with unique cases, such as religion, medical condition, and other reasons that prevent them from getting vaccinated.
