Apple's Online Store is currently down, and yes, it is not a problem with your internet, browser, or device, as this is something from the company's end. Vising the Apple Store's online platform now would get you nowhere, as it is not back and running as of this moment.

The server down moment of Apple has been on for the afternoon, and people are speculating about a new product or a systems maintenance.

The Cupertino giant is known for having a server down on its online store when anticipating to put a new product before its launch, and it was something observed during the April 20's Spring Loaded event. But is there one beginning this August?

Apple CEO Steve Jobs watches a video of the new iPhone 3G as he delivers the keynote address at the Apple Worldwide Web Developers Conference June 9, 2008 in San Francisco, California. Jobs kicked off the 2008 WWDC conference with a keynote where he announced an upgraded version of the popular iPhone called the iPhone 3G.

The Apple Online Store is down, and it has been since 4 PM Pacific Time (7 PM Eastern Time), which has given a lot of people browsing or shopping on its website a hard time to access.

According to Down Detector.com, this is one of the few servers down issues of Apple in months, and users have flooded the website for updates.

A significant number of users, 72 percent, have reported that Apple has its "website not available" label on. On the other hand, 28 percent of those already using it reported that they were "unable to checkout." It only shows that Apple is currently facing a problem with its systems and not something from the user's end.

Users would have to wait a few more minutes up to hours for the service to be back and running again, and enjoy their shopping experience with Apple.

Apple Online Store: Launching New Product or Systems Maintenance

According to 9 to 5 Mac, there are only two reasons why Apple's online store is down: Launching a New Product or a Systems Maintenance. For now, the answer would only appear after the system is back online for people to check.

The report also mentioned that the company has already launched new products earlier today, and it includes that of the new Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, and an updated graphics card to Intel-based MacBook Pro.

Both of these are not "new products" per se, but updates from old and existing one from Apple.

Most Likely a Systems Maintenance

That being said, this issue is most likely a systems maintenance from the company, especially as there is a lined-up fix for its online stores for this period. This also does not line up with Apple's August 2020 release of the iPad Pro, as this time around, the world is still in early August.

To add more, the iPad Pro M1 has already released last April with the Spring Loaded event, along with the iMac that sports the unified SoC ARM device.
