QR codes have become an established means to connect people regarding accessibility, payment systems, and other options. Through these scannable codes, people can now have quick access to an application or a website.

For iOs users, downloading a reliable and virus-free QR scanner is a good way to start. Apple has created a built-in code reader for iPhone cameras, so users only need a few steps to make it happen.

Here's how you can scan any QR codes on your iPhone.

How to Scan QR Codes on iPhone

According to Gadget Hacks, you can also use the QR code scanner in the Control Center. Here are the four steps that you should follow to begin QR code scanning on your iPhone for the specifics.

  1. Start by opening your camera app on your iPhone.
  2. Next, make sure you have a firm hold on your camera to see the QR code clearly.
  3. After your iPhone detects a QR code, a notification will be sent to you.
  4. Click the notification right away to know where you can find the scanned QR code.

For the long version, the process will begin by accessing your iPhone camera. If you have just got started with the Apple smartphone, you can find the application on the bottom right corner of your device's home page.

iPads have a different location for the camera app. Usually, they can be found on the first page. Still, it depends on where the user moves the app on the iPhone.

After opening the camera app, now is the time to scan a particular QR code. You don't need a fancy camera setup anymore to scan a code.

We recommend you refrain from using the shutter button since your iPhone can detect the QR code immediately. Right after spotting the code, it will now send you an on-screen notification.

A rule of thumb when you receive the notification for your QR code: have a mobile signal or internet connection. If you are connected to WiFi, you cannot access the notification.

By clicking the sent notification, you can now proceed to the QR code destination. Apparently, there are many possible places where your QR code can exist.

The notification can direct you to a specific website, feature, or even another iPhone app on your device. After seeing the QR code, you can now scan it on your iPhone.

QR Code Scanning Via Wallet App

According to Tech Radar's report, iPhone users can not only use their cameras to scan QR codes. The Wallet app offers the same service as a QR reader.

To start using it, click the app and go to the top of the "Passes" section to tap the plus button. After that, click "Scan Code to Add a Pass."

Regardless of QR codes in tickets, coupons, discount cards, and even loyalty passes and cards, you can now scan any of them in your iPhone.

Despite this function, Wallet App warns users that an error message might appear if you attempt to scan a code. This happens when a certain code is not included in the "passes" considered by the app.
