Google Search results could be confusing sometimes, especially when the visited pages are full of advertisements. Instead of yielding useful results, people often stumble on deceptive websites that provide unreliable answers to specific queries.

Somehow, other websites are properly optimized, but this does not mean that they are already the go-to pages for searching.

If you want to know how you can get useful search results on Google, here are the things that you need to follow to end up getting the right answers.

Here are the effective ways that you can do to get useful results from Google Search.

According to Wired's latest report on Sunday, Oct.3, there are three ways on how you can end up searching for useful results.

Here they are.

Deploy More Search Operators

Google results are sometimes inaccurate because there's a chance that you have included a missing keyword. Adding search operators when using Google Search could be an important procedure that you should not skip.

You can insert the word "OR," or use an asterisk when searching.

There is a big chance that what you are searching for is accurate and trustworthy. For instance, the usual how-to guides on YouTube have inserted an asterisk at the end of the title.

Search operators are not only limited to "or" and asterisk. You can also try "after:" and "before:" besides the two options. This will help you clear the search results with a fresh list of good answers.

Utilize Advanced Search

Oftentimes, users rush searching words without exploring the whole Google Search environment. There are instances that you only run from using Advanced Search tools for easy word hunt.

When keywords are not enough, you can try this technique.

When you are already on the Google Search page, you will notice a gear icon at the top right. Click it and you will find many parameters for more effective searching.

This method will not only let you prevent unnecessary pages full of ads, but also it would provide specific answers to your questions.

For example, you can utilize it to look over interesting results within a particular country or area.

It will also show you the updated pages with relevant keywords. For now, practice more about it to narrow down your search.

Search Specific Words

When you are searching song titles, you type their whole titles. That's how this concept works. You cut off unnecessary words that would clog your keyword in Google Search. The objective here is to use shorter but more useful keywords as much as possible.

Search in Individual Websites

Google Search has so much to offer and there will come a time when you could not find the right answers even after using the keywords.

This technique is applicable when you are staying at a particular page, like in the case of Wikipedia.

This would also prevent you from encountering too-good-to-be-true pages that are running many ads. Through this, you can also improve the ranking of the searched words.

Another example to note is when you are looking for news at a particular news site. Rather than directing to other pages, you will only be going to a single page to filter the results better and more precisely.

Meanwhile, recent statistics released earlier this October showed that Bing users search Google frequently. The Verge reported that "Google" is the most searched word behind "Amazon," "Facebook," YouTube," and "Gmail."

In June, Google announced that a new algorithm update will deliver new changes to the SEO environment.

Three weeks later, the company said that it will now allow users to identify unreliable results despite high SEO rankThis will be the tech firm's way to combat fake news and other forms of misinformation in the platform.
